I need people to take a survey for this assignment for economics class.
Note:I did not get to pick the questions.
Also do not turn this into a political argument.

1. What is the purpose of money? What are its characteristics?
2. Is there a difference between money and currency?
3. Could we solve financial problems by printing more paper money ourselves? Why or why not?
4. Could the government print more paper money to solve financial problems? Why or why not?
5. What percentage of time would you estimate you use paper money for purchases? What else do you use?
6. What is your preferred method to pay for purchases? Why do you prefer that method?
7. Would you support changes in society that would make paper money unnecessary? Why or why not?

I'd say that would depend on the quality of the counterfeit.

The following reply is not just personally for you but for anyone who might think i am trying to get out of an assignment.
As for the line in bold i expect to get this response many times and i am sure many people reading will think the same but not post.
So to everyone in that category.
Its both the assignment (for an online class) is to ask these questions and compare the answers.
If you don't believe me i don't really care.
I don't pull that ask the questions online bull crap. ALSO i have a 95 i don't need anyone's help with answer basic questions.
And i will rush though and vaugly awnser some questions just to prove it.

Store of value - a dollar bill that is wrinkled and has been sitting on top a dryer for a year is worth the same as a new dollar bill.
2 Money can be anything a credit card, cash, using grain to buy chickens.Currency is in the form of cash and coins.
3 Money is only valid if its government printed to much would cause inflation
4 The government should not print money because it will cause inflation

Umm, Sierra...this is not really the way to get people to help you. You asked for help, someone asked to be sure this was not just helping with homework, which is a reasonable question, and you blasted them and told them you didn't care and didn't need help. So, how likely is it that anyone will care to respond now?

Sorry, but sometimes the Mom in me can't help but jump in and respond.

To provide a way of exchanging goods & services for what they are worth.
What are its characteristics?
Physically? paper or coin, different denominations. In our country - boring paper money! LOL Otherwise, money has the ability to make people do a lot of things they shouldn't or never thought they would...

Yes, money is a type of currency
Could we solve financial problems by printing more paper money ourselves?
No

It's illegal and would be meaningless if everyone just made up their own

No

You have to have something of value to back up the paper money. Just printing more would devalue the money that is already out there.

Very rarely

We use a card that gives us Disney points. We also pay the entire balance off every month.

No.

You need something concrete to teach children about money.I think they need to actually SEE the money they are earning.

Yes

See answer about kids above, and some people are just really bad with money. I don't think going to a paperless/coinless system would help that. Probably make it worse...
