Surprising DW with a free trip to Disney(New 12-16 Pg 52)were back

Hi Dan!! Your plans sound great! its getting closer!!:cool1:

I cant wait for the Trip Report and see Parkers pictures of him with the characters!!
thank you very much, i am sure i will be able to come up with a few pictures to show you guys...:goodvibes

Hey Dan. I'm right there with you. We will arrive at WDW on Sunday the 7th also. We are driving down most of the way on Saturday, then only have a short distance left for Sunday. It will be here before we know it. I'm actually thinking about putting my Christmas tree up next weekend since we will miss almost 2 weeks in December. This is the fun part. The trip is paid for, the plans are made - now if we can just keep them and not switch them around to much. I'm enjoying your report.
what are some of your plans? do you have a TR going yet? i know it seems like it is taking forever, but it is only a few weeks away

 :yay:
Your plans look good Dan. Pizza sounds like a good alternative. Unfortunately, I don't think I will be partaking of any WDW pizza any time soon due to the "incident" at the waterpark.:lmao:

25 days now. WOOOOOO!!!
thanks, i love there pizza, and we have not gotten it the last 2 times we have been there..

Seeing all the resorts will be great.
They do these awesome chocolate/gingerbread decorations in alot of them. The Boardwalk/Beach & Yacht Club/Contemporary & Grand Floridian stand out in my mind. Each resort is decorated different & in keeping with the style of the resort. So beautiful.
Here's a picture of my favorite-these were at the Beach Club.

how can i get close enough to grab a piece of that and eat it, if parker is not walking yet, maybe i can get him to crawl over there and i can knock some over then eat it.

:rolleyes1 :rotfl:

Those pictures are great, Disneygrl36! I would love to go there for the Christmas season sometime and just explore the resorts to see those kinds of things. That is so neat!

It is a beautiful time of year & those holiday displays are beautiful & smell really good too.
Don't eat it though Dan.......I bet there's enough clear coat on it that it would taste like plastic.............:rotfl:

let me be the judge of how much is too much plastic coating.
:lmao:

I'm finally through the whole thing - you sound a lot like my DH, who I think would have a ball planning a surprise trip. Not in the financial cards right now, but that's ok.

Your little guy is adorable! From what I've read, I think he's close in age to my youngest. Was he born in April? And you're a fellow Hoosier, too - my DH is from NW Indiana (Belle8306 is my DSIL). We'll be up your direction for Thanksgiving and Black Friday. You'll really be glad to be in FL in December. We're supposed to have snow showers tomorrow!

I think you guys are doing Disney the right way - lots of time to wander and soak it in. I swear, my next trip is going to be more of that. We've been there enough that we need to not do the commando thing anymore. And I'm REALLY jealous that you get to go there in December - I'm hoping for a Dec. trip when I turn 40 (still several years away, but still...)

Looking forward to reading more!

Hey Dan, here are some of our plans for the same week you will be there. Saturday (6th) start driving from NC to FL. Stop about an hour away - but knowing me I will drive all the way.

Sunday head for the Grand Floridian to check in. Look around the resort some, then head over to the MK for lunch at Casey's and ride POTC. Come back to the GF by 4:30, unpack and get ready for dinner (1900 Park Fare). After dinner if we are not too tired, head over to Epcot to watch Illuminations.

Monday-AK day, dinner at Ohana
Tuesday-Epcot in the morning, MVMCP at night (dinner at Tony's)
Wed-DHS day, DTD or resort hop
Thurs-MK day (hired a private tour guide - can't wait for this), evening DTD or resort hop
Friday-? in morning, dinner at LeCellier Steakhouse in Epcot
Saturday - drive back home

This trip is with my parents and DH. I'm not going to be too sad when we leave because DH and I come back in February for a land/sea cruise. Are any of our days the same as yours? Our plans can always change, but this is what we are thinking.

it looks like the only day that will overlap is on friday, we are planning on going to epcot.

the rest of your plans sound fun, are you going to do a PreTR or a TR for this trip?

Wow! You are only 20 days away!:woohoo: :cool1: :yay: Have you watched any of the videos of the castle lighting this year? It is so pretty!:cloud9: I can't wait to see your pictures!

Oh Dan, I'm sorry that our plans don't overlap, but maybe I'll see you at Epcot or somewhere else along the way. I'm thinking about doing a trip report when I get back. We take A LOT of pictures when we go to WDW, so I may do one that lets the pictures do most of the story. I can't believe that it is almost here. I have a shelf in my guest bathroom that I have been putting tolietries and all the extra "other" items on. All I need now is to pack our clothes, and I want do that until the night before so maybe we will know what the weather will be like. Good luck and I hope to see you there - Lisa.

Well, they're exactly one day apart! :goodvibes Small world - on our trip in 2005, we ran into a family whose youngest son was the same as our DS (now almost 5), and he'd been born in Chicago the exact same day (2 hours earlier). I love finding connections like that with people...

He's from Knox. We actually hit Valpo instead of Merrilville - not quite so chaotic (kinda) :rolleyes1 We go for the experience, not as commandos. It's really quite fun (I NEVER thought I'd say that) and we're done and eating at the Steak-N-Shake well before noon usually.

I'm sure you're getting excited! Your little guy will do fine. The baby was the easiest one of the three (except for the trip to the urgent care, but that was pretty freakish!). And the pictures we got of him and the characters are some of my favorites!

Ok I have been MIA for about a month... did I miss anythign important???? :goodvibes

very cool, 1 day apart....yeah we just always go to merrilliville since that is where i grew up so it is a tradition, then eat lunch at the mall food court.

you missed a ton, not really just went over some of the detailed daily plans in the last few pages.

I am jumping on the Black Friday bandwagon for a second. Jen and I always joke that we look forward to Black Friday more than Thanksgiving. Luckily, we married two brothers that love to shop. It is a blast! :goodvibes

Heya I just started reading your report yesterday and have managed to catch up with most of it. First of all baby Parker is sooooooo cute, is is just adorable :goodvibes. I love your pictures from your camping trip, he looks like he is having lots of fun. I also checked out you other report all about baby Parker and love all your pictures from apple picking and the fair, you look like such a lovely family :lovestruc.

And I have got to say you are so sweet. I read through all your plans of surprising your wife and your thoughts and ideas were just all so lovely and thoughtful. And all the gifts were just so sweet and perfect. And the way you actually surprised her with that letter from Parker was just the sweetest thing ever. I think you should give lessons to other men on how to be the perfect partner. I will send my bf over to you next week... what day is good for you :rolleyes1

Anyway cant wait to hear more, and I can't wait till you actually go. You are planning on doing a trip report aren't you :confused3

Thanks for checking out my report, I would be glad to have you join in :thumbsup2

I will have to sign my DBF up for your course when we come to WDW. And if you can make him anywhere near as thoughtful as you then park tickets would be a small price to pay :goodvibes

I can imagine how excited you must be. And baby Parker is going to have so much fun. You are going to be so glad you took the decision to surprise your wife, especially when you get there and see both their happy faces :). Oh and CSR is lovely, you will be glad you choose it :thumbsup2
