:welcome: glad to have you back for this adventure, it ended up not going as i wanted it to, but it was still fun to let her know about the trip.

Congrats to Candi!
:goodvibes thanks
Gosh, it was in 1994, but if I can remember I was thinking it was somewhere along the lines of 15-20%.
i will take that percentage.
:yay:

I just read the part about the announcement and watched the video - I was laughing out loud at little Parker! :rotfl2: It's like he knew what was going on and was so excited! Maybe he's a genius! :yay:

I used to work PT at the Disney store for a couple years. It ws fun, but I wound up spending more than I made. When people would return items that had since gone on sale we'd grab them up plus our discount. It was great. At the time (this was 9-10 years ago) they would return anything. I don't know if they still do. People would return costumes after halloween (which would then be on sale). My daughter got several princess costumes that way. They would return Christmas stuff in February and we'd get that stuff really cheap. It was a nice benifit for us, not so great for the company however, so that may have changed.

I left once we had 2 and then 3 kids, it was fun when we had one, but when we had more I had no time. I had planned on returning when they were in school full time (which was this year.) Unfortunatly at one point we had 4 Disney Stores within 20 minutes from here, now we have none so that is no longer something I can do now.

Oh, they also gave us tickets, I think one every 6 months or something. They were one day hoppers. I still have a couple (they are the never expire kinds.) We always go on a package so we have not used them, but I'll have them for someday...

i dont follow sports...when i "root" for a team i usually go for the one with the better colors :lmao:
well root root for the cubbies.
they have a nice blue color.

yeah she is excited about the tickest, and the discount at the hotel..that is another nice bonus.

to bad they closed them all down around you.

80000 people in Louisville still without power...man that has to hurt
ouch, most everything around here is getting back to normal.

15,000 people in Louisville still without power....but all the Schools are open today....they were closed all last week.

I drove around a few areas Fri an Sat. and saw several huge trees still blocking the roads and lots of damaged homes from trees and wind.

:sad2:
hope it gets better soon

Hi Dan!! Congrats to Candi for her new job!!!:goodvibes Parker is just soo cute! and hes getting very big!! pirate:

have a great trip.
:)

I did...thanks!!!!

Hope everything gets better. We finally got our power back last night about 4:30pm. 24 hrs is the longest we have ever been without power but I was very impressed that all the items in our fridge (not that there was much since i have not been feeling like shopping) were COLD! Course we left the fridge and freezer completely shut the whole time so that helped. We were just very glad that we did not have our baby yet since we would have had a couple day old infant in the house with us...course hopefully we would have been smart enough to go to one of our parents houses since they had power. We stayed at home because we did not expect power to be gone that long.

I see you only have a few more days til the due date. Though I find myself wondering if you've gone into labor since you haven't been around...

anyone know for sure?

Candi is getting a new job, she had an interview about a year ago at the disney store, and had to turn them down, they did not work well with the hours that she wanted.

Well every time that we go in there since, the 2 managers always ask her how her job is going and if she wants to work with them, they want her to work a few days a week for a while then work up to a manager.

So we were in there last week and she said that she was thinking about working for them again, and the manager said that she will give her whatever days and times that candi wants and that in a few years when our kids are in school then she would want her to be full time and work as a manager, so we talked it over and she called her back with what she wanted as a schedule and the manager agreeded...she said that she would normally get ride of most of the people after the holidays, but that she will keep candi on...

She is very excited and the benefits are great even for part time workers, can you say going to disney every year baby.... :yay:

She will start in about 2 weeks

congrats Candi!!!!
