As with all opinions, ours represents us. YMMV.

That said, yesterday we had lunch in DTD at Tortilla Jo's. Fairly fancy mexican food. Higher priced. Tonight, we had dinner in DCA at Cocina Cucomonga (just toward the entrance from Paradise Pier. It cost less than half, and although it was counter service, I much prefer the food (Mission Tortilla Factory tortillas (fresh from the next building)). High recommendations for the chicken tacos. Man oh man.

Agree with both of these! They are both very good.

Yup, we really like Rancho and Cocina Cucumonga, they are both really good!! I love those chicken tacos, I usually get sauteed veggies instead of beans on the side too, that's really good eating! :)

You should try Rancho del Zocalo in Frontierland in DL. Good stuff!

Seconded! I'm a vegetarian and their veggies tacos rock! Also, it's very easy to get corn tortillas for those that require gluten-free food.

Rob

P.S. We'll be at DL in about a month.

P.P.S. Happy birthday to me!!

We really like these places too. One of our favorite treats is their cin. & sugar tortilla chips very yummy!

Last time my mom and I were in DLR... We went and though we'd try the place in DCA and it's soooo good i prefer it to Rancho.

I live in san antonio tx and am very picky about mexican food, but we ate here last time at DL and i loved it!! very good! i had the veggie tacos and they were awesome!!!

Hey! We're from SA too and are so particular that we choose which restaurant we will eat at each night out based on if we want a better salsa, enchilada or tampiquena!! If you have three mexican restaurants on ech corner you know what I mean!

We always stop at Rancho del Zachalo. We get to go and take it to the Billy Hill SHow!

Howdy Neighbor!
I know what you mean about picking places based on salsa and such! It's what you gotta do when you live in the Tex-Mex capital of the world!! We are spoiled!

I had a bad experience at Rancho del Zocalo a few visits back (2 years ago). The food tasted good enough, but I think the bottle of sauce on the table was questionable. It was sealed, but when opened was crusted on top and I made the mistake of using it anyway, since the expiration date on the bottle was fine.

At any rate, we left to drive back to AZ the next day and I was sick all the way across the desert and home. Not fun.

Needless to say, I steer clear of that place now.
