surprised with the park hours this summer

I was a little disappointed to see that the latest they are open in the summer is 10 PM (June 28 - July 3) and now they are open until midnight or 1 am. Anyone know why this is? I thought for sure summertime meant longer hours...I was wrong obviously

Hours change constantly. Especially if you're looking several months out in advanced.

They will alter them more the closer you get to the summer.

They can sometimes change while you're there! Admittedly, we were there for Christmas but I swear AK and HS hours were shifting up until we left for the holiday!!!

We're going July 4th week in 2015 and I can tell you that the park hours will definitely expand during that week. Based on the past 2 years, you can expect MK to be open until at least 11pm most nights except 7/3 and 7/4 when it will be open until 1am with EMH on 7/3 (1-3am). Epcot of course will only be open until 9pm, except 10pm on 7/4. DHS will be open to 10pm most nights except 7/4 when it will be open until midnight, and AK will be open until 7 or 8pm each night. And expect both water parks to be open until 8pm.

Would it be a safe bet to assume that park hours may be similar to this past summer's hours? I am going in July 2015, and I am trying to map out my park plans to make ADRs next week. I have looked at the current July 2015 hours, but I am trying to get an idea of what they might actually be once I'm there. Do EMH tend to change or get added, or do these usually stay as originally scheduled?

Also, does anyone know why HS is scheduled to close at 6pm on Tuesday, 7/16 with no Fantasmic! scheduled? Would it be safe to think that there was a private event that night, or is it likely that those hours will be extended and a Fantasmic! added?
