Chapter 71. Mickey Doppler
While it was still raining just bit, parker and I did one final mad dash through the rain which he loved over to buzz so we could ride it again. He loved running through the rain, and with his giggling i knew that he had turned the corner and was good again.
i like our ride photo, you can see i have trained him well in the art of aiming. only problem is he aims, then im usually turning the car to shot at something else...hey i have to rack up my wins against him now before he gets good and starts smoking me when he is older.
i tried to get him to go behind the bars with zurg and he was having none of that.
when we got off noelle was waking up and we asked parker what else he wanted to do before the end of the day....he requested another ride on splash mountain. all on his own. i was so happy that he liked it enough to want to ride again and asked for it all on his own.
a disney milestone thats for sure.
so off across the park we went to ride splash.
when we get there we see a little line of people waiting to get on the ride where a CM was holding back the line.
I went and asked her if it was still down from the rain, and she said that Mickey Doppler Radar showed lighting in the area.
I looked at the sky and she said that Mickey Doppler showed lighting still within the 10 mile area around us so we had to wait a little longer till it cleared.
Okay that was fine first i heard someone call it Mickey Doppler but parker didnt seem that upset he had to wait a little bit.
So we went into the shop right there.
this was our first time going in there that we could remember, we all really liked the theming of it, very cool and the kids thought it was funny.
parker enjoyed looking at all the toys and noelle was impressed with the wall of stuffed animals that were all at her level to play with.
since she didnt get many souveniours this trip, we asked her if she wanted any of them, she kept picking up different ones and playing a few seconds with them and would put them back.
after we looked around in there for about 15 minutes we asked her again if she wanted to take one home and she shook her head no and put them back and was ready to leave the store.

parker said he was good on toy as well.
so we went outside to see about splash.
it wasnt blue skys but didnt look that bad out...
they were still holding everyone back for the time being, so we decided that it would be a good time to get dinner. we wanted something close so we chose a family favorite that was just around the corner.
when we went to orde we saw a display of something that candi said looked good and was something totally different from the other options we had over the 2 week trip.
they had a pulled pork and steak combo meal, with two sides that came with corn bread it would have been a little over 15 but a CS credit...so she figured why not. it was something we have not seen there before. and it gave her some options to share with noelle.
parker had the kids burger and he did great he ate about 3/4 of his burger if not more of it and almost all of his sides, noelle helped the rest of the way with the sides,
i opted for my favorite taco salad, it is something of theres that i just love and really enjoy
it was good to see that parker had his appetite back in full force.
after we were done eating, it was about 6 and the park was closing at 7 that night for the halloween party. so we looked off towards splash when we were done eating and saw it was still down no boats running...
we asked parker what he wanted to ride for his last ride, and he chose.....
you will have to wait for next time for that one.
this report is winding down, one more update for the last full day, then our departure day which was alot of fun.
and a little news on the next trip.
it is a 5 stage plan that just had a half stage added to it, BUT we are now in a holding phase for stage 4 to happen but more info on that when this report is over.
