So, I stalk SW for lower prices for my trip that I've booked or when I was looking to book, as I'm sure many here do, lol! Late this afternoon, early evening, my fare to come home from WDW was sitting the same as it's been since they released Nov/Dec prices($142/8530pts). My flight home to Chicago is on a Sunday, and as I recently found out, they don't usually include Fridays and Sundays in the sales, which stinks! But, still I keep watching just in case! So about two hours ago now, I checked prices again and was shocked to see my flight home had dropped to $129/7684pts! I couldn't get it to work online, but I called SW and the woman was able to help no problem, very quick and easy! And, I got back 1692 points! I'm not quite sure how the points work but that was a lot more than I expected as the cash price difference was only $13 a ticket! :cool1:

So, I thought it was strange that the price dropped to one of the prices in the sale from the last few days, since Fri/Sun's aren't included in sales, but it dropped right after the sale! I'll still keep stalking the sales, and now, just after sales, lol! You never know. I will say, our day we go down on Black Friday has not had any prices go lower at all, and most times for wanna get away are sold out, and the remaining few are $322 and one time is 206. Very curious to see if any times will suddenly have tickets or prices will change at all with the Anniversary sale coming up this next week!

Anyway, just a heads up to anyone else hoping for a SouthWest credit of points or cash, or lower price, you might wanna check out your fares just in case! :thumbsup2

My flights dropped yesterday with sw as well. We are going dec. 18-27 & the promo stops at the 17th. The 18th has stayed the same in price but the 27th dropped $65/pp. hopefully the prices will come down a little more when they start the winter sales but we booked just in case they don't!

I had the same thing happen on my flights. Under the "sale" they were $256 each way from OKC to Orlando. After the "sale" expired I was able to book them for $179 each way! I will continue to watch especially when they start the anniversary sale that people are talking about next week.

Wow, that's awesome! I'm hopeful mine will go down even a little bit more!

You must be in the same boat I'm in...so hard to get affordable fares from OKC to MCO. When are you traveling to get a $179 fare?

Same for us. We had a flight from MCO to BWI for Nov 4th. We got it at 126 but then it went up to 226 and stayed there through the sale that SW just had. Well sure enough I checked today and that flight is back to 126.

I am flying Nov 15 and returning Nov 22. Sat to Sat. This is about the average I usually pay, but I have seen rates around $120 each way before. So I am still hoping!
