Surprise! We're NOT going to Disney! 9/18-9/25 <<Update 3/24 Page 21>>

Too bad about the rain putting a “damper” on your day, but glad it didn’t last all afternoon.

Nice of the couple to offer you a spot. People from Louisiana are pretty cool like that.

The kisses picture is so precious, as are the rest.:goodvibes

Juliana does look like she’s got the snorkeling down.

$6, not shabby at all.

I kinda miss the days of splashing in the pool with little kids. Enjoy, it passes quick.

Ahhhhhhhh, you said it didn't rain!!!!!!!!!!

Oh well, at least it cleared up and you got to enjoy some of your time there.

Nice of the couple to offer you a spot. People from Louisiana are pretty cool like that.

What she said!

I'm going to have to put that hotel in my notes. It looks like a wonderful place to spend the day in Nassau.

Juliana and Madelyn are very similar in the fish department. Maddie is 4 and she's just now starting to swim really well. I have a feeling we'll be spending a great deal of time in the pool and on the beach. Personally, I'm okay with that.

I'm so glad that the rain didn't ruin your entire day.

It also didn't even occur to me that you were on the ship during Halloween! I am very excited to hear about the party.

Before we made it to the cover of the restaurant, it started raining on us. It went from light to heavy in a flash. Luckily, we didn't get too wet.

The kids were already wet so no problem there.
If it weren’t for potential lightning, I’d have let them go out and play in the rain.
No better spot then a beach for such things.

Every table was taken and Melody & I were just standing there looking at each other trying to figure out what to do, when a nice couple offered us a spot at their table.

Very kind
Nice to see such things still happen from time to time.

Melody & I both got a cocktail and tried to relax a bit- well as much as you can with three kids in
a confined area.

Which isn’t much, but I’m sure the supplements aided the process somewhat.

We figured we'd try out the pool for a bit before heading back to the beach.

Another perk of your choice of destination for the day.

You have chosen wisely …
I believe I’ll be heading to this spot the next time I get to Nassau

A good Nassau day all around despite the precipitation.
The evening party should be interesting…
I’m predicting you’ll encounter a veritable sea of Elsas

DARN RAIN!
I know but we were going to have to eat sometime. I'm not sure if we would of been able to pull the kids out of the water to eat if it wasn't raining. :rotfl:

That was very nice of the couple to invite you to share their table.
It was. They were rally nice and we enjoyed chatting with them.

I love these pictures...they are priceless.
Thanks! I love them too.. all 3 of them!

Such a handsome boy with that devil look in his eye.
::yes:: He's usually very good... except when he doesn't nap. :rolleyes2

Of course she did...there was water and swimming involved.
I can see her living at the ocean, or going away to school far south. She's been saying she wants to be an marine biologist- or some one who works with ocean animals. Hope she ends up with a rich husband. :lmao:

Not bad at all. And, in case I forget later, THANK YOU again for the Tortuga Rum gift pack. We really enjoyed it immensely. You shouldn't have done that!
Please- we should of done more. And who are you kidding, I'm sure you have pictures of it.. hopefully you enjoyed it. :goodvibes

Can't wait to hear all about it.
Coming up at some point. :rolleyes2

Too bad about the rain putting a “damper” on your day, but glad it didn’t last all afternoon.
It wasn't horrible, but it would of been nice to eat on the beach.

Nice of the couple to offer you a spot. People from Louisiana are pretty cool like that.
:rotfl:

I wonder if anyone from Connecticut would of done that. :scratchin

The kisses picture is so precious, as are the rest.:goodvibes
Thank you. :)

Juliana does look like she’s got the snorkeling down.
Yea, she was a pro by the end of the day. It costed us nothing compared to what ever it would of cost us on Castaway Key.

$6, not shabby at all.
I can't remember how many drinks we had but I'm sure Mel had like 3-4 throughout the afternoon and I probably had 5 or 6. The beer was $6 and the drinks we had (went back to an old favorite-Yellow Bird) were I think $8.

I kinda miss the days of splashing in the pool with little kids. Enjoy, it passes quick.
I hear ya. Time does fly. I can't believe how big Juliana has gotten.

Ahhhhhhhh, you said it didn't rain!!!!!!!!!!
I did? :confused3

I guess I lied. :rotfl2:

Oh well, at least it cleared up and you got to enjoy some of your time there.
It did turn out nice after the rain... it did get a little humid though.

What she said!
:lmao:

I'm going to have to put that hotel in my notes. It looks like a wonderful place to spend the day in Nassau.

It was really nice. If the day was a rainout, they offer a full refund too. It was perfect for us. :goodvibes

Juliana and Madelyn are very similar in the fish department. Maddie is 4 and she's just now starting to swim really well. I have a feeling we'll be spending a great deal of time in the pool and on the beach. Personally, I'm okay with that.
The water was in the upper 80's so I didn't mind being in it. Juliana was swimming in our pool at the end of the summer when it was 68 degrees. NO THANK YOU! :lmao:

I'm so glad that the rain didn't ruin your entire day.
Me too! It could of been a disaster, especially if we had to walk back to the ship in that rain. :scared1:

It also didn't even occur to me that you were on the ship during Halloween! I am very excited to hear about the party.
Well, actually we weren't. Starting in September DCL added Halloween festivities. Win for us! :)

The kids were already wet so no problem there.
If it weren’t for potential lightning, I’d have let them go out and play in the rain.
No better spot then a beach for such things.
True. I bet we wouldn't of won the Parents of the Year if we let them play in the water in a thunderstorm. :scratchin

Very kind
Nice to see such things still happen from time to time.
Yup. It restores a little bit of faith in humanity. :rolleyes2

Which isn’t much, but I’m sure the supplements aided the process somewhat.
:rotfl2: That's one way to say it.

Another perk of your choice of destination for the day.

You have chosen wisely …
I believe I’ll be heading to this spot the next time I get to Nassau
It really worked out great for us especially with the little kids. The only downside was we didn't get to explore the island. But we had limited time anyway.

A good Nassau day all around despite the precipitation.
The evening party should be interesting…
I’m predicting you’ll encounter a veritable sea of Elsas
Oh yea.... We might of even encountered a few before we made it to the party. :lmao:

It is a good thing you managed to make it to cover before you got too wet. You know... considering how you were there to get wet anyway. :rolleyes1

I'm glad the day wasn't a total washout. Seems to have worked out well so that you could grab a bite to eat while it rained and then get back to the pool and beach. :thumbsup2

I'm glad it didn't rain for too long and that you were able to enjoy the rest of your day. You are brave taking 3 kids swimming by yourself!:thumbsup2

I'm afraid I have to side with Andy here...you guys did have bathing suits on, right?:confused3:rotfl:

Nice of the other family to give you a seat at the table. And at least the rain didn't last too long.

Those are really cute pictures of the kids in the water. With the big kid, of course.:thumbsup2

Dang rain!!! it was nice of the couple to invite you! who could say no to you guys?!?!

Priceless pictures of you and the kids! and Gabby was smiling in one of those!!

Beautiful pool! did you go into that apple cage bed thing in the background?

can't wait to hear about trick or treating on the boat!!!

Bummer about the rain - but looks like it didn't totally ruin the day ... and like you said, you had to take a break to eat at some point, and you still got back out there after the rain yielded

I'd say things worked out all in all and for a pretty reasonable fee given the food and drinks and stuff

Great pictures of everyone in the water!

Excited/interested to hear how trick-or-treating on the boat works out

Signing on! Looks like a great trip so far!
:welcome: Thanks for reading!!!

It is a good thing you managed to make it to cover before you got too wet. You know... considering how you were there to get wet anyway. :rolleyes1
It really wasn't the rain that was the problem but the thunder and lighting. :badpc:

I'm glad the day wasn't a total washout. Seems to have worked out well so that you could grab a bite to eat while it rained and then get back to the pool and beach. :thumbsup2
The timing was good. If we weren't forced undercover, Juliana wouldn't have gotten out of the water to eat.

I'm glad it didn't rain for too long and that you were able to enjoy the rest of your day. You are brave taking 3 kids swimming by yourself!:thumbsup2
Juliana can actually swim so I was holding the other 2. We had fun and the water was soooo clear. The kids loved looking down and seeing daddy's feet. :rotfl2:

I'm afraid I have to side with Andy here...you guys did have bathing suits on, right?:confused3:rotfl:
Another wise guy ay?

It was nice of them... they took a huge gamble. :lmao:

Those are really cute pictures of the kids in the water. With the big kid, of course.:thumbsup2
Awwww Mark, thank you. Here's a flower for you --> :flower3:

Dang rain!!! it was nice of the couple to invite you! who could say no to you guys?!?!
:rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Who could say no? I'm sure plenty of people... especially a couple who was on vacation with no kids. :rotfl2:

Priceless pictures of you and the kids! and Gabby was smiling in one of those!!
Thanks! It is so hard to get pictures of her smiling.

Beautiful pool! did you go into that apple cage bed thing in the background?
No, and I didn't understand what that was. :confused3 :rotfl2:

can't wait to hear about trick or treating on the boat!!!
Coming up.... eventually. :roll eyes:

Yes, we were very happy with the price and felt it was a great value for us. Plus the place was very nice and well kept with a very friendly staff. :thumbsup2

Great pictures of everyone in the water!
Thank you!

Excited/interested to hear how trick-or-treating on the boat works out
Gonna start working on that soon. :surfweb:

I thought if there was ANY report I could keep up with at this point in my life it would be this one! I was wrong.

The photos you have of the Dream so far look amazing! I cannot wait to finally go on it. They cancelled our dates for next year, so we are pushed out to 2016 :(

Your room looks awesome! I am always surprised at how big the rooms are on a Disney cruise verses all other cruise lines. The balcony is always a great feature too. Would be a great place to sit and read while the kids nap.

That stinks about the rain on the beach day. Sounds and looks like you made the most of it though. Rain is the perfect time to eat, plus the kids were already wet from being in the water so what is a little rain gonna do?

Looking forward to the Pirate party/trick or treating! Sounds like a fun activity they have!

We had just left the beach, shopping our way back to the Dream in Nassau. We decided to head back early because there was trick or treating on the boat starting at 4:30pm. When we arrived back in our room, each kid already had a bag of candy.

We also had our bandanas for pirate night.

Juliana was questioning us on the walk back what was she going to wear for trick or treating. We kept reassuring her she would like what we brought for her. She was persistent and kept asking, and asking, and asking.... Finally we told her to just 'Let It Go!'

Juliana was happy with the costume choice.

It was tough getting Gabby into her costume. She wanted nothing to do with it. Finally I was get her into princess dress... Elsa #2! Christopher was Jake from The Never Land Pirates....

Gabby... ohhhhh, Gabby. Look over here.....

Jake!

Best pirate pose!

We arrived a few minutes late to the party (what else is new) and I'd say the atrium was mobbed!

There was a show going on which turned into a dance party. Some characters came out into the crowd. Goofy ended up right near us but the kids weren't really in a dancing mood. They had one thing on their mind- CANDY!

There were CMs placed throughout the atrium handing out handfuls of candy.

What do you think Bubba?

Of course there was a meddling pirate who was trying to ruin all the fun.

The kids had a lot of fun. They made sure they hit every candy station. When they were done their bags were 3/4 full.

It was almost time for our dinner but we had a little time to kill. Melody & I decided against costumes.... there were plenty of adults wearing costumes though.

We stopped in the art gallery and check out a bunch of paintings that we couldn't afford.

The Minnie Lisa

The dining room wasn't open when we got there and had to wait in line (Hey! We were early for once!) Juliana and Christopher wanted to start eating all the candy they had just scored but being the good parents we are, only let them have one each.

Dinner this evening was at Animator's Palate- which is different on the Dream than it was on the Magic when we cruised a few years ago. On the Dream there are interactive screens that line the dining room. You see the cast of Finding Nemo going by talking and fooling around. There was one part when Crush came over to talk but Christopher and Juliana were in the bathroom with Melody so he went to talk to another table. It is like Turtle Talk with Crush in Epcot. I didn't have the heart to tell them that they missed out. Luckily Gabby kept the secret a secret.

Dinner was really good. Melody ordered fish that she wasn't too sure of. Our waiter told her it was excellent and if she didn't like it, he would bring her another meal. She went with his suggestion and absolutely loved it. I had the beef tenderloin again. It was good but not as good as the tenderloin I had the night before. The kids just ordered off the kids meals this time. We also ordered our second bottle of wine and went with a pinot grigio- Casa Grande. Melody & I didn't really care for it but that didn't stop us from finishing the bottle.

On to dessert. Melody went with a sampler of pumpkin cheese cake, pineapple financier, and lemon mousse.

'Juliana you look pretty full. I don't think you should order dessert again.'

Just kidding. She had a Mickey bar. So did Christopher.

Our servers also brought us a Halloween inspired dessert to share.

Once again the meal was great and our servers were amazing.

Up next... Yo Ho, Yo Ho. It's a pirates night for Me(lody)

A beautiful Elsa

I just LOVE Christopher's costume...it suits him. And sweet Gabby made a very pretty Elsa.

Gabby... ohhhhh, Gabby. Look over here.....

Keep dreaming dad.

Jake!

That boy is a hoot!

You late? Never in a million years would I have guessed that.

There was a show going on which turned into a dance party. Some characters came out into the crowd. Goofy ended up right near us but the kids weren't really in a dancing mood. They had one thing on their mind- CANDY!

I'd rather have candy too.

Of course there was a meddling pirate who was trying to ruin all the fun.

Love Captain Hook!

The kids had a lot of fun. They made sure they hit every candy station. When they were done their bags were 3/4 full.

Nice job kids!

Great family picture...almost everyone is looking at the camera.

One of these days when I win the lotto.....

The dining room wasn't open when we got there and had to wait in line (Hey! We were early for once!) Juliana and Christopher wanted to start eating all the candy they had just scored but being the good parents we are, only let them have one each.

You are good parents!

This sounds intriguing.

The party looks like fun. I want to get on there during Halloween or Xmas with the decor. Right now my next cruise isn't till 2016, which is way too far away.

Two gorgeous princesses and an awesome pirate! The party looks fun...Score on the candy haul!

Looks like the kids enjoyed those Mickey bars. :)

Jill in CO

After another wonderful dinner, we stopped back in the room for a diaper change and a wardrobe change. Juliana wanted out of her Elsa dress and into another costume we brought for her (and you wonder why we had so much luggage). By the time we made it up to deck 11 for the Mickey's Pirate's In The Caribbean Party, it was already in progress and there were so many people up there, I'm sure the ship was top heavy.

We had the worst spot but once again the kids didn't care. We did get to see behind the scenes a bit.

I will say that the characters did notice us quite a few times and waved to us. The kids didn't seem to mind and were having fun.

Donald pointing and waving to us...

Once you see Mr. Smee....

.... you know the Capt'n isn't far behind.

The party was fun, I just wish we got there earlier. We had to change Gabby so there was no way we could of went straight up to deck 11 after dinner.

We walked around for a bit just enjoying the warmth of the outside and took in the sights of the ship.

The deck was clearing out pretty fast.
