So we are surprising our DD7 with at trip to WDW - we leave on November 30. We are just going to pick her up at school and head right to the airport. We are going to try not to tell her until we are actually in the terminal.

We are flying Southwest. Do you think the SW people at the gate would get in on the surprise? I was thinking of having them call her up to the gate and then hand her a disney gift card saying that she would need this on her trip.

Do you think they would do this? ( I'm not sure if this was the right thread for this, so moderators feel free to move if you think.)

I would think that they would do it. I can only imagine it has happened a few times before. I love Southwest and all of the employees are very friendly and really cater to kids. Have a wonderful and magic trip! :goodvibes

While I don't doubt they would do this, how are you going to explain the drive to the airport in the first place? The fact that you are checking in for an Orlando flight? Going to the gate for an Orlando flight? Won't she figure it out beforehand?
