I am in the process of booking a surprise trip to Disney World next Friday with my friend. She knows we are going somewhere, but the destination is a complete surprise. She also assumes we will be driving, but we will actually be flying. We are both 21 years old. What would be the best way to surprise her? Those of you who have surprised your kids do you have any ideas that could work on a 21 year old?

One idea I had was to blindfold her and drive to the airport using the highway (usually you wouldnt take the highway) then pull up to the curbside check-in to park (we have valet parking) and maybe give her a pair of Mickey ears and take the blindfold off.

Any other ideas? Thanks!! :)

I wouldn't go for a blindfold for a long car ride- I think that that would make someone sick or at least very uncomfortable. You could do this in stages- don't tell her where you are going until you get to the airline check-in line. Then she'll know you are going to Orlando but you could tell her you are staying at a hotel in the area- not necessarily WDW. When you get your ride to the resort you could try to hold out until it becomes apparent that you are going to WDW- I think that will be surpirse enough. Have fun.

The car ride to the airport is like 15 minutes -- sorry I should have mentioned that. Thanks for the tips!

Ok I have to share this just because I'm excited I thought this up but can't risk sharing it with anyone I know.

I thought of some "hints" to tell my friend.

Hints:
Takes about 2.5 hours to get there - (though she wont be factoring in the plane) :)
Destination is 2 words
Destination is 10 or 11 characters including a total of 4 vowels
Destination is a popular tourist destination.

These are so great because Hilton Head and Myrtle Beach fit the clues and she will most likely anticipate one of those places anyways!!

If anyone has any other suggestions for the surprise please share!!

I don't really have any suggestions, but this is such a sweet idea. Your friend should be thankful that she has such a thoughtful friend like you. Have a great time at MY favorite place in the universe!!

When I surprised my DDs (teenagers) at Christmas, I did a riddle for them.

My First is in dog but not in cat
My second’s in this but not in that
My third is in snow but not in ice
My fourth is in both naughty and nice
My fifth is in bendy but not in straight
My sixth is in early but never in late
My seventh is in wind but not in rain
My eighth is in sore but not in pain
My ninth is in square and also in round
My tenth is in lost but not in found
My eleventh is in width but not in girth
My whole is the happiest place on Earth

If you think you can use it for your friend, feel free :teeth:

Hope you both have a great trip.
