Surprise Mornings

Hi

I'm from the UK and I heard that Surprise Mornings are no longer in operation. Is this true?

I will be going in July and are staying outside WDW - so I am hoping they are discontinued.

Can someone please confirm

Hi Rob! And welcome to the DIS!

The early entry program is still in effect at WDW, wherein one park each day opens an hour earlier for WDW resort guests. I'm not sure of which days are early entry for which parks, but I KNOW someone can help you with that part.

I too am staying off-site, and need to determine which days NOT to go to which parks because of this program.

Extra Magic Hours (EMH)
Sunday Magic Kingdom
Monday Disney's Animal Kingdom
Tuesday Disney-MGM Studios
Wednesday Epcot
Thursday Magic Kingdom
Friday Disney's Animal Kingdom
Saturday Disney-MGM Studios

I got the Unofficial Guide to WDW 2003 and it said they had been discontinued.

Can't beat the web for a bit of up-to-date advice.

For a year or so they replaced EMH with Character Caravans at the resorts. That didn't go over well... So during 2003 they brought them back. Unfortunately the 2003 UG had already been printed with the older info.

In the 2004 Unofficial Guide, it stated that they brought them back since a lot of people decided to stay offsite since they weren't getting the EMH. In other words, Disney was losing money.
