Surprise... It's Someday!! A Dec 2010 PTR!!

Hopefully you will all feel fine when it's time to leave. I bet Disney is a great treatment for all sickness:lmao:

I am so excited that you are so close TO YOUR FIRST TRIP!!!:banana::banana:

Don't worry you have 10 days to get better, drink lots of OJ
I have been having tons of OJ today. The only problem is it really spikes my blood sugar so I have to watch it.

I agree with the OJ, take vitamins, take anything to get feeling better :goodvibes. I have a sinus isssues too and have told myself I REFUSE to be sick in Disney so I have been taking meds and drinking OJ like crazy.
I am there with you... I WILL NOT BE SICK AT DISNEY!!! But I also need to get so much done here. Although, I did get somethings crossed off my list. Hope you are feeling better soon!

I know of no better treatment for sickness! Do you??? :rotfl2:

I bought those pearl cages for my mom and I too! I'm a June baby too! When is your birthday?
My birthday is June 12th! What is yours??? I know a few people who have June birthdays... makes me think September/ October are busy months! :lmao:

I did rest for a little while tonight and we tried to watch A Christmas Carol together. I say tried because neither Jon nor I really liked it very much. I know I have to be breaking someone's heart but its not high on our list of "rent it agains". In fact we didn't finish it. Just took it back. So I can't recommend it to you... you are on your own with this one! :confused3

I took Claire to see it last year on Thanksgiving. We had been visiting my Aunt in Columbus (My whole family went down except Skip) and we needed to get away for awhile, since the kids were getting a little highstrung. I did not care for it either. And Claire's opinion,....about 20 minutes in, she fell asleep and snored through the rest of it.

I was so disappointed. I had really been looking forward to see it.

I am feeling 50% better today than yesterday. I was able to get my to do list down to 124 things. I know that sounds crazy but there are some small things on there, like clearing off the media cards, but there are quite a few BIG things like putting up the Christmas tree and Christmas decorations... and of course packing. So, the little things are there to make me feel like I am getting something done! :rotfl:

Glad to hear you are feeling better, sweetie. Hang in there...Disney is right around the corner. :yay::yay::yay:

124 things! that's crazy! though i guess if soem of them are small... hope everyone is feeling better!

/
wow, that is one long list! but it will get done! :goodvibes hope you keep feeling better too- i started a z-pack yesterday and feeling a lot better now.

How much does it cost to pick a pearl? I found some really cute carriage pearl holders, and thought it may be a cute idea for the girls.

Do you think if I put my nose in the air and sniff REALLY hard I can smell Disney??? :lmao:

I have to put some easy ones on the list just so I can make sure I am crossing things off. If not I get into a rut and feel like I have sooo much to do and I am not getting anywhere.

I have no doubt it will get done... especially now that I am feeling better. I got some more done this evening while the kids were playing... Slow and steady wins the race! :rotfl2:

I think we found it to be around $20. I know my $25 gift card should more than cover it.

Spending some time catching up on the Dis then off to do some more on my list... Where are Cinderella's mice when you need them???? :rotfl:

I am slowly running out of time so I best get this party moving. I am going to finish this tonight since we are getting so close to our trip! We are all excited. Brenda even has her little "we're going to Disney World" dance. Its too funny!

Ok, we don't have any HUGe plans for the 9th and 10th.

December 9th will most likely be the day we finish seeing what we really want to see at Epcot. We will then hop over to HS. We have reservations for Sci-Fi. We are hoping the kiddos are ok with the dark and movies aren't too scary. We will probably have sat down the evening before and figured out what exactly we want to make sure we see at Epcot and Hollywood Studios. We seemed to have spent a lot of time in Epcot..at least in the plan. I am also thinking that we might hit DTD tonight too. We don't really have any set in stone kind of plans but just want to make sure we see as much as we can. We don't want to come back with a bunch of regrets. And I am sure Brenda and Gavin will not want to bring any of their piggy money home! :rotfl: When we get back to the room we will have to get things ready to check out in the morning. This trip already seems to have flown by and it hasn't even happened yet! :rotfl:

Dec 10 we will sleep as late as we can but we have a 10:05 reservation at O'hana. I am guessing we will drive over there so we have time to get things in the car and check out before our reservation. I think check out is 11. Is that right? So after O'hana we will do what was left in Magic Kingdom and most likely spend the day there. It will be so hard to leave! I am sure there will be tears, and just not from the kids. I wouldn't be surprised to see a tear or two even from Jon... But being the man, he'll suck it up. This will actually be a park day for us since we have decided not to leave till later in the evening... although, this could change too depending on how tired Jon is. We will have a 10 hour drive back to NC, to Jon's parents. Where we will spend 2 nights and 3 days with them. Just kinda relaxing... Although they have offered to take Brenda and Gavin for us for a night so we can get a date night. If Gavin is feeling well I will take them up on that offer. It will be nice to get some time for just him and I. The only real thing I want to do is see the place where Pepsi was born. It happened in a drug store in the small town where they live. The drugstore still stands and is a huge tourist drawl for that area. Everything else is up to Jon's parents... and anything Jon would like to show me. He says there isn't much he wants to show me. He wasn't there all that long and wasn't really attached to the area. He was just eager to come home again and sweep me off my feet! :lovestruc

So there are our plans. Sometimes it seems like we will be there forever and sometimes it feels like we will be headed back before we even get there. Hopefully time will just seem to stand still and we can enjoy this rare time our family gets.

It just doesn't seem real. Almost as though I am waiting for the shoe to drop. I really do try to stay upbeat but it has been so long since something this huge has worked out for our family.

Coming up soon... some of the things I have made for the trip... but I have to finish them first! :rotfl: They are on the to do list!!!! :rotfl2:

always the saddest part of the PTR is writing about the last day when you haven't even got there yet. I think you have great plans for the last 2 days. You get to go back and do stuff you forgot or really wanna do again and ending in MK is always the best!

can't wait to see what you have made!

Tam, the plans for those last two days sound great. I think the kids will be fine at Sci-Fi; it is not pitch black and the cars the kids sit in are great and the movies are really not scary at all (remember those old black and whites with the robots invading earth, tarantulas, etc.?--nothing too dramatic).

Yes, check out is at 11 a.m. If you have your charges applied to your credit card, you don't even need to go to the front desk to check out; they will leave your final bill on your room door handle.

Can't wait to see what you made for the trip...that is when you get them done. ;)

All of your plans sound wonderful... I am sure you and your family will have a magical trip.... Looking forward to reading your TR...

Looks like a nice plan for the last few days.
One thing I have learned is to not think about what is happening the next day. My first trip I did that alot. I can't wait till Wed to eat at...such and such, or Tuesday for this...and it seemed I wished my trip away. The last trip I tried to just live in the day and not even think about what came the next day and enjoyed each moment more.

That is a great idea! I will be using this on my upcoming trip and sharing this inspiration with my family!

Your plans sound great! I know what you mean about how it feels like it's over before it even begins, which is probably why I haven't finished my last days on my PTR either :lmao: I think I will finish those today... maybe

It will be sad to see the trip come to an end but I am sure it is going to be such an amazing trip that I'll "ride the wave" for quite a while afterward.

Thanks for all the info. I think we will at least give Sci-Fi a try. A will have some color wonders stuff in the bag so if they get too scared they can always pull that out and color for a little. That usually gets them settled a little. Its in "mom's magic bag".

After I check out do you think I could hide in the Magic Kingdom for... oh I don't know... maybe a month??? :rotfl:

Yea, not getting much done for the trip. My To do list is HUGE!

Thank you! I am thinking it will be after Christmas till I get it started. Since we don't get back till late at night 14/ morning 15 and Christmas is right around the corner, I don't think I will have much time till after Santa comes!

Looks like a nice plan for the last few days.

I am just going to focus on the fact that we are having an amazing time! Besides, I do get to relive the trip several times. First, I will have my TR to start... most likely after the holidays. And Second, I will be scrapbooking every second X3. When I scrap I do some for Brenda.. some for Gavin... and this trip will get a family album too! The only days I think I will be focusing on ahead of time is the last 2 days... and that is just the night before so we are sure to get the last things we wanted to do before we leave... although, I think I could focus on MVMCP the whole trip! :rotfl: :rotfl2:

Sharing is how we all learn! Pass on that knowledge! :rotfl2:

Just think, you finish the days in your PTR that puts you closer to the actual trip. :rotfl:

Your plans look great!! I can't wait to meet you and your family!

My best tip is to remember to just breathe and take in the small things. The background music, the smells, the details on the light poles, everything is so magical.
