Surprise honeymoon for my son...have to share!!

I doubt anyone can see in. We stayed in PPH last year, and you can't even see in the windows there from the street even when you try (my kids like to wave up when someone stays in the room).

I don't know if you could see people that far away (DL park) without binoculars - if even then, but the view is pretty amazing! From other photos I didn't realize that it is a corner view. Wow. I'd love that room!
Where are these other pictures and how am I missing them? I want to see! lol

I wasn't sure. We stayed at the DLH in May, after the refurb, and while I couldn't see into other rooms from ours (not that I really tried) - if I stood in my pj's looking out at the pool my sis was worried people could see me.

Why was she worried about people seeing you in your PJs in your room? lol

I'm going to call on Monday and see what they say. I would think this has come up before so they may have some suggestions about it. Thanks!

Yes, anyone can reserve it. The cost depends on the season. For July, the cost is $850/night weeknights and possibly more on the weekend (I'm not sure since I was booking a weeknight). I know that in slower times, like Sept, it can be as low as $650. I asked about early Sept. specifically and it was $650 for weeknights, $750 weekends. It's pricey but considering you get concierge included it's really not bad compared to other suites. They say it's 750 sq ft but as you can see in the pictures, it only has one king bed so if you had a family of 4, it wouldn't work very well :goodvibes

Just curious, I've been researching the suites online and have never seen a price quote below 1k. Did you use an AP or some kind of discount to the room for that much? I am planning to call the number to ask, just wondering if you could clear that up for me ahead of time.

What an Amazing experience! I would love to see more pics!

Thanks so much for sharing, very Magical!

She's super conservative and careful - and she's my older sister so she's always been very protective of me too - and I'm not young anymore. lol!

Ok I called reservations and it said one night in off season for that room is $2850. I was pretty excited to book it for my birthday night because at the prices you quoted that is pretty much a great deal.

No idea how you got that discount

What number did you call? They are giving you the wrong suite price. You need to call Vacation Planning, 714-956-6425 (or you can try this one: 714-300-7520) and ask for rates for the Fairy Tale Suite. It was $850-1000/night for July but it's $650-850 in the off season. I've booked it twice so I know that's correct.

The other signature suites are in the thousands, but they have multiple bedrooms and are much larger. Someone must have been looking at one of those instead!

Thank you (I am sorry if my tone was a bit harsh, I was having a mini fit because I thought I would be able to book it for my birthday and was very excited, then was pretty let down when I was told the prices).

That is the number I called, I found it on the Disneyland Hotel main page. I thought that was the Fairy Tale Suite that you were talking about.

Yes, it was. Did you speak to Lauren or Mark? That's who I always talk to. Unless they have raised the price about 300% in the last couple of months, someone is not giving you the correct rate for the FTS.

Try calling the first number above (not the one you called) and ask for Lauren. She's the main VP person and knows what's going on. If you don't get her, you can email her at lauren.flicker@disney.com

Good luck!!!! I'm right with you on hoping to book it for my next birthday!!

Ok, admittedly my DH and I are complete saps, but we are sitting here viewing those pictures and reading your story shedding (happy) tears, and he just leaned over and promised that he would make that happen for me one day. I just wanted to make sure I got that in writing. Thank you for sharing your story and wonderful wishes to you and your family.:flower3:

This makes me smile. :)

Someone must have been looking at one of those instead!

That doesn't surprise me in the least. My experience with a few CMs in Disney World is that they were not very well informed and didn't know what was what.

When we stayed at Port Orleans Riverside, I had requested building 16 at time of booking, and called five days ahead and requested it again, and when we arrived we were put in Oak Manor. When I had mentioned that I had requested building 16 two times, the CM told me it was a "preferred" location and that I would need to pay extra. I explained to her that, no, only buildings 14, 15, 18 and 27 were preferred (I did my homework!) and she insisted that it was. I had no choice but to accept defeat, even though she was dead wrong and was just looking for an excuse for not giving me my request.

Always ask to speak to the supervisor! Sometimes the CMs just don't know what they're talking about (but pretend they do!)

P.S. I would love to see more pictures from the suite. Were you planning on posting any more?

Yes, I forgot all about this thread!! I will be able to post more pictures soon!
