Many of you have been asking for an update on the Be Our Guest Restaurant, and I’m happy to announce that we’ll have an update on this topic tomorrow on the Disney Parks Blog. Our Food Author Pam Brandon will share details with you on the delicious menu items you can expect, when reservations will begin, and more! Don’t miss it.

Thanks! I seen that this morning and was soooo excited! I can't wait for the morning so we can see all the info. I'm just hoping that it's open for us!

Hey Tanz! My plans are flowing smoothly so far. All I'd need to be 100% is for Fantasl Land to be open along with Be Our Guest!

It was a good treat!

Is Sam going next year

No, we will be bringing our niece. Sam will be busy with school, and college just doesn't accept vacations like grade school does.
When she graduates from college, she will be given a trip(hopefully one or more of her friends can go as well) to somewhere hot and beachy. She would love that MUCH better than Disney.

Here comes day 7! On November 7th Our 14th Wedding Anniversary!

14 years of loving, wonderful wedded bliss…... :rotfl2: (did you just hear a snort?) Heck we still like each other and laugh about it, so we must be doing alright! :thumbsup2

What a better place to celebrate than Animal Kingdom!, It’s wild and crazy just like…well not us, but it’s fun and I’d like to think I’m funny and John’s funny looking, so that’s enough for me.

We haven’t been to AK in almost 2years, and I thought about doing an early ADR at the Tusker House, but decided that 3 early ADR’s in a row may be a bit much.

We’ll hit it as they open, does anyone know if they do a opening show? When?

We head for the Kilimanjaro Safari first, and then I’m going to TRY to convince Kadence to do Expedition Everest. She’s a chicken butt, so I most likely won’t succeed.
I’m excited to see the Tigers and Bats and such in the Maharajah Jungle Trek. I hate bats, but behind glass they aren’t too bad.
We’ve never caught the Flights of Wonder bird show, so that’s going on the to-do list. And I’m going to ride Dinosaur all by myself! Kadence won’t and John has no interest.

We’ll stick around for the parade, and then leave and go right to the Contemporary Resort as we have 5pm ADR at Chef Mickeys.

Does anyone know how many stops the CR bus makes from AK? Should we leave before the parade? I love the parade, and so wish to see it.

After dinner, back to AOA; if it’s nice swimming for the kiddo. Then some sleep, as the next morning IS an early morning ADR.

I have a binder that I have created to hold all my Disney planning. I enjoy seeing everything in it’s our sections, and having a secret trip is hard! I can’t leave it lying out, or “play” with it around Kadence. I need some time to get it into order, (well, my OCD order) We’ve been so busy so far this summer, with all of Kadence activities.

Here she is in T-ball. I’m pretty proud of her; she hasn’t played in the sand, making castles once! (Sam used to do that at that age!)

RUN Birdie!

She is now a Cheerleader! This is the moment she has been waiting for! You must be going into 3rd grade and be 8ys old to join, and she’s been waiting since Kindergarten for this. She was so excited when went to pick up her uniform, that she wore it home!
She got to ride in the Rodeo Parade here in town; it’s a big, all 3-dayweekend, deal here. Her float featured Woody & Jessie and the Rodeo Queen and Princesses. She had to be at the school to line up at 9am, and she wanted to go at 8am!
She was just too jumpy for me to take more than a couple pictures before the parade, but here the best of them.

Here’s she comes!

Sammy stopped by for a quick picture,

And she lucky she got it, Kadence was an absolute crank after the long & hot parade. She must have had some major adrenaline going in the morning, because after she ate lunch she fell asleep for a few hours!

Kadence looks adorable in her cheerleader outfit! Sam looks so grown up after her first year in school, she's like a real live grown up!!

There's not really an opening show, but they do a little... I guess you could call it a skit. Mickey, Minnie, and Pluto come out on a little jeep and make sure everybody has their sunscreen and water, and then they open the park. It's cute!

Aww, Kadence is too cute. She looks like the only happy one on the float!

:scared1: I can't believe you haven't been to DAK in so long!!! Oh man, I love that park so much (again, there I go sounding like a broken record). I don't know if they do the little opening show anymore. :confused3 We didn't see it at the Animal Kingdom or DHS for that matter, and you know we are always there for rope drop. I guess at AK it could've been because it was EMH at 7 am, but I thought I heard the other parks don't have the shows anymore. I could be wrong though.

If you have a 5 pm ADR at Chef Mickey's I think staying for the parade might be cutting it close. And as for the buses from DAK to the Contemporary, I think it shares with the Polynesian and Grand Floridian. So there wouldn't be more than 2 stops, depending on the order of drop-off. Hopefully someone knows for sure though.

Fun day. I think the parade is usually at 3:45...yes I am too lazy to go look for sure at the moment.
It will be a fun day though. I enjoy AK...but the parade is my favorite thing there.

I don't know if you know it, but your pictures are showing for me huge. mega huge. LOL

She looks cute though. I wish we had cheerleading here. It used to be big at our school and then they went to just anyone could be one to nothing at all. (at least I think there aren't any now) Claire would love it too though. We aren't big sports people, but cheering is always fun. Paige use to play softball like Sam did. It was so long and boring...I didn't blame her...and sometimes I got a nice bouguet of dandilions when she was done. :rotfl:

Thanks! She is so proud, I had to pry her out of her uniform yesterday.

Sam is becoming more adult-like, sometimes. And then sometimes she reverts back to my bratty teenager!:lmao:

I heard they did a little thing at park opening, but not like MK.

Thanks! She did enjoy throwing candy at people, she was bummed that she ran out before hitting one of her friends homes.

I know! We skipped it in Sept, so Jan 2011 is the last time. I noticed in Sept that DHS's opening show was very much shorter that in previous years.

That's just what I'm worried about. I also don't want to fight the parade over crowds to the buses.

Are the pictures still big? I resized.

The parade is 3:45, but I want to make sure we get to Chef Mickeys on time. I know a lot of people leave after the parade, and I don;t wan to be stuck up in that.

She's a keeper! We don't have cheerleader at the high school anymore, budget cuts and no one to be the coach. She's already looking forward to next years parade!:lmao:

I have video of Sam sitting in the sand while the game was ongoing!:rotfl2: She was bored, not because she didn't like playing, but because she wanted to be IN the action. In High School she ended up pitching, and winning awards for it. She has a fast ball you wouldn't believe!

It sounds like you may be riding Expedition Everest and Dinosaur all by yourself. Don't tell Hunter that I told you this but.....he always tries to chicken out on riding Expedition Everest. Once I get him on it though, he's fine and dandy.

Kadence looks adorable in her cheerleading outfit! You can tell that she's super excited to finally be a cheerleader. Around our neck of the woods, cheerleading is a super competitive sport. They take it very very seriously. I'm talking like NFL football seriously. There are at least three cheerleading school in our area.

Yeah, I think that too. I'm thinking if I can get her to believe EE is like BTMR, she'll get on. :rolleyes1

Thanks! She wishes she could wear her uniform everyday.

She's not ready for that kind of competition, her cartwheels look like drunken falls!:lmao:

Ok, I'm going to sound like a broken record here, but Kadence is adorable in her cheerleading outfit! And, Sam really does look all grown up! How did she enjoy her first year of college?

Maddie wants to do cheerleading this year instead of gymnastics. We have studios around here that have competitive teams. I'd rather she stuck with gymnastics, but at least she'll still do some tumbling!

Aaw going to AK on your 14th wedding anniversary sounds like a cute idea...you can go crazy and wild in that park!

Don't think the park has an opening show but have never got there early enough to find out!

Tell Kadence if I can do EE then so can she...there is nothing to it. If she hates me afterwards though it's not my fault :lmao:

I remember the last time you were planning a surprise trip and how tricky it was to keep your planning folder hidden...good luck doing it again.

Love the cheerleader outfit and poses...congrats to Kadence and yay on getting a shot with Sammy.

Don't lie to her like my parents did me I will never forget I was Kandace age when my moms boy friend convinced me that thunder mountain was just a train ride

Aww Thanks:goodvibes I think all of us DIS'ers have cute kiddos! Sam has changed in this last year. She enjoyed her first year, but has decided to switch schools to pursue a different major. And that's all I know, she has me in whiplash lately with her mind changes.

Kadence's team isn't crazy competitive. They do have competition at the end of the year, but it's more like a dance recital.

LOL! I think my wild days went awol on me! We either gone in for an early ADR or were later in getting there, so I never knew either.

She would like it if she did it, but I think she's thinking the Yeti is scary and that's holding her back. I'll tell her that lady with the funny accent says it fine!:lmao:

We're great at keeping the secret, just I have that need to play with my binder, crazy I know!;)

Thanks! She still flying high on her parade experience!

Don't lie to her like my parents did me I will never forget I was Kandace age when my moms boy friend convinced me that thunder mountain was just a train ride

I wouldn't lie to her. She loves BTMR & TT, so if she could see it was similar, I know she's enjoy it.

I love the ticker...because it says. 3 months...4 weeks and 1 day...That pretty much is just 4 months right? Why don't they just say that? :lmao:

Ok. I am a little odd...but how do you say your username.. I know totally out of the blue right? :rotfl2: Is it Carey Tames 1?

Oh and so I sound even dumber....I know everyone says mine at jen seeb...but actually its jen sibe.......
