I have always made goody bags to give the kids on arrival. This has been easy in the past. Last time we went the kids were 4,10, and 11 years old. I put little snacks, small stuffed characters, lanyard, pins, etc. Now they are older and I am not sure what to do but want to do it for my youngest who doesn't remember much from her past trips. We are going in November and they will be 9,14, and 16 years old.

So far I have
DD9-Lanyard,2 pins, autograph book, glow in dark rubber bands to make bracelets, candy, ear buds

DD14-candy,ear buds

DS16-candy(no ear buds because he has Beats)

My older two have said they don't want to pin trade or get autographs. I have never been with teenagers and though they loved it when they were younger, I am worried. Any suggestions??

I like the idea of gift cards so they could buy a souvenir or snack they might want. Maybe a new shirt or accessory or jewelry? Hair thingy?

Disney nail polish if she likes that stuff and you let her paint her nails.

Temporary tattoos? Not sure if teens do that or not

We don't.

Anyway, I agree with the PP, Disney Gift Cards are good, some hand sanitizer from Bath and Body Works. You can never go wrong with food. Cheez-its, crackers, just in general, food. We like glow sticks too, maybe a hat of some sort for your son and a headband for your daughter? Some Mickey jewelry for your daughter might work well, too.

I went as a teenager. :) giftcards, candy, money, maybe a charm if you get MBs, I'd still get a pin (my favorite is one my dad bought me).

Gift card to the hotel arcade for the DS16.

Thanks for all the suggestions! I can't do Disney GCs because they sometimes don't spend all of their souvenir money. I am going to put money in their goody bags though. I am going to do the hand sanitizer, gum, and chapstick. I do like the idea for hair thingys for the girls. My oldest two won't wear Disney themed clothes but I am thinking of putting in a shirt that will at least be Disney colors.:confused3 Nail polish is a good idea!:thumbsup2 I think I will try the glow stick stuff for the older two. Maybe Disney Magic will bring out their "inner child". They have been so serious lately.:cool2: Their favorite snacks will be a definite. The jewelry for the girls is a possibility if I can find inexpensive stuff.I might get them a pin to remember the trip by. Can't do the money for hotel arcade. I have one of the rare boys that doesn't like video games.

Thanks again! Anybody have any more??:surfweb: popcorn::

I think a journal would be cool for your 9 year old and a neat disney pen to write with......

Disney boxers for your oldest boy?

ETA-you could also make a coupon to put in each of their bags to do something special with each of them on the trip. Like pick a pearl, mini golf, bowling, movie, etc.

I really like the idea of Disney boxers. Do you know where they are sold? The coupons are a great idea too. I am planning on surprising DS16 with mini golf,he loves it and I hate it.

My older boys will be 12 & 14 on our next trip. I recently posted a thread about Tinkerbell gifts for them. There were some great ideas - stuff for the pool - goggles, beach balls, squirt guns, beach towels etc. Itunes gift cards & card games. Good luck - shopping for teenagers can be challenging.

If you decide to do coupons - there are lots in the creative DISigns forum

I'm doing gift bags to reveal the surprise that we're going to WDW for our next trip (we leave Saturday!!!). I'm going to have each of my 5 children open their bags in a certain order that will slowly reveal that we're going. Anyway, I bought my 9 and 10 year olds books. One is Disney World trivia facts and the other is about Hidden Mickeys. If they like to read and read quickly, something like that might be appropriate for yours. They could read it in any downtime you might have in the hotel and then know where to look for the hidden Mickeys or share trivia facts in the parks.

Check Walmart, they have Disney ones as well as Marvel superheroes ones. If DH is in to that, they have adult size too.

How about some disposable cameras to take pics in the park? doesn't necessarily have to be character pics, but you may be surprised at what they like. How about "royal bodyguard" shirts and have them be the protectors of the youngest? Include dark sunglasses, maybe walkie talkies, stuff like that?
