Surfing Lessons

I have heard about surfing lessons at Typhoon Lagoon
Could anyone give me details on this
Anyone that has gone tell me if you would reccomend it

We've never done it but I checked on it for my kids. The lessons are before the park opens in the AM and you have to have admission + whatever the cost is. Don't know if they are any good, sorry!

DS now 10 and I did this when he was only 8. It does start very early in the morning. It was fun, but extremely hard work. I was exhausted afterwards from all that paddling! You start out with a lesson on dry land where you learn how to "froggy hop" on the board. Then the real challenge begins in the wave pool. When you hear the loud booming sound of your wave coming, don't turn around, just start paddling. Would we do it again...YOU BET! We still have our certificates.
