I booked the surfing package at Typhoon Lagoon. We have to be at the park by 6:30am...before any of the transportation is up and running.

Has anyone done this? What should I expect and how do I get to the park?

Thanks for any help!!!:beach:

Car or taxicab. What you may do is the previous evening talk to the "Duty Manager" of your resort and see if transportation can be arranged for you. This is more than likely to happen if you are at a deluxe resort; they have sedans that one of their staff can drive you.

Awesome! Thanks very much for your help. I'm staying at the Wilderness Lodge so I'll check the night before. It's my birthday present to myself! I'll make sure to mention that too.:cool2:

When are you doing it? We're going in a couple weeks, but although the scheduled time is 6:30, they told us we had to be there at 5:45. Just making sure you're there at the right time - I know in later months (Sept on) it does get pushed back an hour, but if you're going in the next month or so, you might want to confirm the arrival time.

I'm going on Sept 14th. We check in on the 11th so I can ask the front desk at the Wilderness Lodge what time I need to be there at.

Let me know how it goes!
It should be a blast.
Thanks for the info!

P.S. That picture of your boys is addorable. They look so happy!!! :rotfl:

Can someone tell me more about this??? It sounds like fun.

OP -Sorry for hijacking the thread - I"m just curious.

I've always wanted to do that but have never pulled the trigger. Can I ask how much they charge for this? Is there a discount for families? Thanks!!

I believe the current cost for the surfing lessons is $140. If you call 407-WDW-PLAY you can get more information and make reservations.

Yup...$140 per person is what were paying. Hey...it's my birthday! I can splurge.

I might have to rearrange my WDW schedule since I have to get up super early! Oh well!

My boys did this last summer and they had a blast! They have surfed before, so they got the hang of it quickly, that wave comes at you fast, but you can time it. They had a lot more turns in the pool than I thought they would. If you are planning to spend the morning there you can pick out your spot, you do have to leave and reenter with a ticket, but your stuff will be there. It was neat being in the park when it was all quiet and just starting to get light out.
