Surfing at disney Typhoon Lagoon

do Disney still do Surfing at disney Typhoon Lagoon and is there any more info on it and also can adult life jacket be use at all times when doing it

It’s been a while since I have done it. It was fun, but if you need a life jacket I doubt you would be able to or even want to participate. It was hard and you can expect to get knocked down a few times. You neeed to be an independently strong swimmer.

As PP said, you need to be a strong swimmer and fit as well. You have to swim out after the wave and then carry your board back to the top. We have done it three times over the years and it is great fun but requires some stamina and swimming skills. They do have a lifeguard but I am not sure how enjoyable it would be for a novice swimmer.

This event is just hecka expensive though. We have done a lot of things at Disney from VA to a SPA experience and this one just seems over the top money wise for what you get. Or am I wrong. Debate.

I have just found out that you need you own board this is rip off what about people come from oversea what can't bring a boards with them or want to try it out also I wound pay a extra eg $5 to rent a boards for the time

Board use is included in the lessons. You must be looking at “private session” not the lessons.

My DD(23) took the surf lessons for her 21st Birthday enjoyed the session so much she is going again this July. A surf coach from Coco Beach comes in to teach the class. She took surf lessons while on vacation last year North Shore in Hawaii and said learning to surf at Typhoon Lagoon is much easier.
