Surcharge Applied During Holiday Seasons

I just saw this on a menu at disneyworld. Is this something new, cause I have never remembered it being there before, unless I didn't notice it.

2) And it is being spread across more and more WDW eateries.
3) There is a new phenomena in the universe.
4) It seems around holidays that food grows slower and uses more energy.
5) Thus, WDW has to charge more.
6) But, the phenomena does not stop there.
7) It seems that resort rooms are affected by the phase of the moon.
8) On weekends, the room rate is more expensive.
9) I suspect that this all has something to do with Global Warming.

Love your analysis, RustyScupper! We are going in June, and are VERY UNHAPPY about the so-called "holiday surcharge" for the entire month of June. I have been to Disney probably 20 times, and just wrote my first letter of complaint email about it....haven't heard back yet!

Do you know of this policy expanding beyond the buffets/fixed price all you can eat meals?

Disney says it isn't a "surcharge," it's a "holiday/peak period price increase."
