After much debate and hours spent on the DLRP site pricing up various options plus numerous phone calls to Eurostar, myself and DIL decided that we could afford to do a suprise trip for OH's 50th
We decided on the end of September for 2 nights at the Cheyenne, with the Eurostar plus 40% it was around £400 each couple (not taking the boys this time just GD!)
DIL discussed it with DS and......he doesn't want to go back this year, even after annoucing he was a Disney convert while we were there in Jan! No problem DIL still wants to come so a bit more pricing up done and we decide we're still going
However before I booked it I thought I should mention it to OH (mainly as he doesn't like suprises lol)........he doesn't want to go either
...he has no holiday left, felt it would be too much of a rush / too tiring just for 2 nights, etc etc
A few hours later he said 'if we don't go GD's losing out!' and then suggested that me and DIL go anyway
I was on the phone first thing the next day
So now instead of 2 nights at Cheyenne, me, DIL and GD have 2 nights at...........DLH
Decided we'd go for a bit of luxury as the men aren't coming lol.
Managed to get Eurostar for £65 per adult and have paid for a seat for GD at £56, the DLH came to £571.20 for the room/tickets with the 40% off.
Last night DS decided he did want to come after all......but he's been told he's too late and it's a girls only trip
So now I'm frantically ebaying to get the balance for July as I'm also supposed to saving for spending money for our Cyprus trip in May.
Must change my ticker!
