Support group for us no pin people!?

I am joining you guys because after I have done all that was said to do I still dont have the pin code. It just isnt in the cards for me. I needs me some pixie dust over here please.
 
Still hanging out here with no pin, BUT don't really care as much because what I really wanted was FD and we were able to get it. I'd just like to know that it is possible for me to get a pin for future trips.

Anyway just out of curiosity, has anyone gotten a pin through an AOL email addy? My email that I have all of the Disney stuff under is AOL and it is about 10 yrs. old. My main addy has never changed since I got my 1st computer (more like 13 yrs now that I think about it!) DH has gotten the snowgolbe and welcome stuff on his (also AOL but newer) but no PIN. I have tried all of the tricks except setting up a new gmail, so maybe this weekend I will try it. FD is the best discount for my family of 5 this trip because we are staying moderate, but we usually like Deluxe so I'd love a pin in the future.:wizard:
 
so today I got an email that says order a disney vacation. yesterday I got the letter head email. Should I go back to the website and delete my iteniaries? I have no saved packages.

Have you tried a different address? Might trigger it? Try profile/email too with gmail?

so yesterday I went on with 2 of my emails and saved some offers. they are still sitting there. it has been 36 hours. today in both emails I got the get your Disney Planning DVD blah blah. Don't know if I should keep the offers or delete. I don't want that Summer Spectacular thing.... I already have 35% off my deluxe.... I do want the White Rabbit. I have 2 rooms booked, so that would be what I need to save more. Anyone gotten this planning DVD offer? What did you do? What WOULD you do?

AND delete all packages saved, shop for a minute, price a 'DREAM' vacation with ALL of the extrAS, do not save. X OUT. Hopefully you will get that survey thing. Answer not a good value... ( have you got this yet? )
Before you do it make sure you clean your computer of any cookies though.
Can't hurt to follow the link and order the dvd too.
But be sure to delete any saved offers.....

It's the White Rabbit 20/30/40 good through the end of the year.

I posted about what I did to get it in this thread.

I think that using Internet Explorer with a "clean" computer and following the instructions exactly were very important. Also, using a different address and a middle name may have helped.

Please note~ I have been plotting and tweaking to receive a pin since April 16. I had given up all hope last week and just plain quit trying.

Ok. News!!!

I was lucky enough to give up waiting for a pin when the awesome discount that included late August was announced Monday May 3.

So then today, low and behold, on May 4, I got a pin!

Now this pin I received via email, is practically the same as the public discount 40/30/20 with black out dates, so it doesn't make a difference in my case, because whatever I would have needed for late August, the public discount took care of!

HOWEVER, it is better than the public offer for some of you, because it goes til mid-Dec with blackouts for Columbus Day vacations and Thanksgiving vacations!

It's not the white rabbit, though, it is the Dream-Come-True-Maker pin. It has the fifteen digits, so it's a true pin. I have NEVER received one before and would not have if I hadn't picked up on the hints here.

Here are my facts. 14 Disney accounts (I have since deleted two). A mix of yahoo, att, and gmail. All accounts have my name, my address, and birthdate ~ except one of the accounts has my name, my birthdate, and my childhood home address, where my son now lives, which is less than a mile away and THAT is the one that got the pin. None of the other 13 accounts got pins and I sincerely doubt they ever will as long as they have my home address.

Here are the stats for the account that got the pin:
account: new gmail
Disney account created: April 29
received explore resorts email: April 30
received vacation planning video email: April 30
pin received: May 4
type of pin: 40/30/20 til mid-Dec with blackout dates
name of pin: Disney Dream-Come-True-Maker
itineraries: created two itineraries both choosing a non-Disney resort stay

Why do I think I got this pin? I believe it is because I used my childhood home address, where my son now lives, and not my own address. That address is not in their system. I should know, I was born in that house, lol. And I wouldn't have thought to do that if it weren't suggested here.

That one email that got the pin, was actually the only one I thought would get a pin in my daily fantasies, because maybe just maybe Disney didn't know it was little old blacklisted me, lol. Oh, and it is also the only email address that got the explore resort email.

So thanks! I'm really glad to have finally received a pin. I'm also glad that I was able to give up waiting for one when the public code came out with the amazing deals. At least I now know the impossible, is possible. Well, let me rephrase that ~ I still believe I will NEVER ever get a pin with my accounts that contain my home address. Those of you that are convinced you will never receive a pin with your current account information, can maybe try to use a middle name, as others suggested here, or an immediate family member's address. Try something that is different from your usual information. And maybe use a gmail account.

Anyhow, thanks for having faith when I had long given up.

yes, I saved a high cost vacation.....last week.... then deleted. then I priced out a couple (more realistic ones) this week. And, yes, I have gotten the survey thing prob every time. I have played with dates, lengths of stay blah blah, so keep hoping for me!
 
I am so sorry I haven't been here this week... Finals were this week and my sister is getting married this Saturday so it's been a little bit of a hectic week for me.

I wanted to stop by while I had a minute and tell everyone to keep at it... I did and I got my PIN and I KNOW there are PINs out there for each and everyone of us. Keep trying!!!

I only have 2 right now. my orginal and a new one I set up 2 weeks ago.
 
Just wanted to come in here and let you know what I did to get a pin on my sister's account. I had gotten pins a while back in two accounts doing something very similar to this, but she had been unable to get one.

1. Monday 5/3 -- created a new account for her, used real first and middle name for first name. Used her existing gmail account with an extra period. It goes to the same inbox as her main account that hadn't gotten a pin.
2. Filled out account profile (truthfully)
3. saved 2 expensive offers at beach club. Each time after saving I clicked "start over" and got the pop up survey (I used IE and had disabled pop up blocker on Disney's site only). I indicated that it was too expensive.
4. saved an itinerary in "My Disney Vacation" I indicated that I still needed accomodations.
5. Monday night -- she received the create your own video email. she did that and watched and sent it to me, and I watched it.
6. Tuesday -- received explore your resort email
7. Tuesday night -- I logged into her account to delete saved offers but the system for that was down, so they are still there. I did price a vacation with the GP 40% off code.
8. Wednesday afternoon 5/5 -- She called to ask if she had a pin and they told her she had 20-30-40. Not sure if she had it all along or if it showed up before she got the email.
9. Thursday morning 10:25 am 5/6 -- Received white rabbit email with 20-30-40 pin code.

Now, I wanted to point out that I indicated in the itinerary that she still needed accomodations, which is different than a lot of advice I have seen on disboards. I did it this way because that's what I did when I received my pins in early april so I thought I would go the same route. IF you are having trouble getting a pin and haven't tried that, do it.

All of the emails I have received have stated "We’re delighted you’ve been making plans online with My Disney Vacation!Since you’re still looking for accommodations, we invite you to explore total Disney magic with a Disney Resortstay at a great rate"

Do they all say that, even when you indicate you don't need accomodations and are staying offsite?

Well that's my story. I hope the advice will help someone who still needs a pin!!
 
I have a question about what happens when you use some sort of secondary address.

I'm getting NOWHERE using everyone's advice (blacklisted for sure :rotfl:) even though I have several new email/Disney accounts. Most are in my name, one is in my husband's name, and they ALL have our home address on them. (BTW, they all received the "Get your Free Planning DVD" email yesterday. Assuming that has been the case for lots of people?)

Thinking that maybe I need to create a new email address and a new Disney World account in husband's name (maybe with his middle name in the first name field too) and WORK address.

If we were to receive a pin under that info, will it impact booking? For example, would we have to use a credit card with that address as the billing address, or would the CM be able to just change his work address to our home address after we call in to book with a pin? And would he have to be the one to call (DH hates the phone - LOL!)?

Just wondering because I know the address has to be legit (which it would be), but want to know whether it would cause problems with booking/payment.

P.S. I just found out yesterday that we are going to Orlando for a WEEK in October for my hubby's conference! I was thrilled to discover there are 2 Disney resorts that are "approved" by the conference (POFQ and BC), but even with the conference-negotiated rates, they are by far a bad value compared to the other offsite hotels on the list. If I had a PIN however...might be able to make it work! C'mon, white rabbit! Here's a pretty flower for you to nibble... :flower3:

Thank you Jgallant! Still waiting and hoping, but not going crazy over it. I've gotten a bunch of more magic ahead and stationery emails, so maybe I'll get lucky. We're going either way in October. I considered changing our plans to take advantage of free dining or the room discount, but couldn't find a room category that we wanted at any hotel but the Boardwalk, and since we stayed there last year, we had our hearts set on someplace else. Anyway, I personally appreciate the support! Crossing my fingers for today...

Hmm - when you do your profile and can check on off your other areas of interest, I've been checking nothing. I wonder if I should check off DVC on my list, since some of the new pins seem to be referencing DVC. What do you think?
 
Just wanted to give an update. I decided to give up mainly cuz my trip is fastly approaching. I settled for my 30% discount on Value I got in March - and add the dining plan. I really wanted to do it another way with free QSDP but it wasn't meant to be! Good luck to everyone that still needs pins!!!! Atleast they helped out a bunch with 2 late summer/early fall offers!
 
Hey everyone - pinned and pinless! I'm officially still pinless, but took the 40% room discount as it covers the time of our trip and = to the pin I was anxiously hoping for. But just wanted to share my observation. I only have 2accounts with Disney - I don't have the energy to update and follow multiples like many of you - I don't know how you keep up! :) Anyway, I have my home email address that has been registered with Disney for years and is associated with at least our last 3 trips. I added my work email address in my quest for the pin and it was with that email address that I started getting Disney Destination emails (welcome, create a video, explore your resort, and most recently the letterhead). Nothing STILL on my other account.

So when I called to book and the CM asked about emailing my confirmation information - the address he read back to me was my work email address. I then asked him to send it to my home - as I like to keep that kind of stuff separated from work. I just thought it was interesting that the last address I signed up with is the one showing in their system and the one that I'm getting emails sent to.

Crossing my fingers that more people in our group get a pin and can enjoy another trip to our favorite place (at a cheaper price) :banana::banana: Good Luck!

I had seven email accounts going last month trying to get the pin. The last two accounts that I setup, I used a new Yahoo email for each, my name, my birth date, but I used my parents address. I received a pin on both of these accounts. I still have not received a pin on ANY of the others.

I already had a reservation and had no problem applying the pin to it.
