Support group for us no pin people!?

Yep.... did all of that.

I'm in Canada as well.

I just keep getting the freebies.

I have one more tactic. Next week we're visiting our inlaws for a couple days. I'm going to try creating some email accounts from their computer and doing some itineraries and such, then I'll leave it alone again.

If nothing happens after that, I'm just about ready to give up. There really isn't a tried and true way to get these PINs (much as many think certain little tricks will trigger them), I think sometimes you're just on the NEVER-land list

I think that is what your problem is...you havent given up yet. A lot of us got our pins when we completely gave up...give that a try!

I don't think it's giving up so much as giving Disney the cold shoulder. Delete all your itineraries, and don't log onto the site for two or three days.

Ive tried the tricks, even opened a new yahoo account(already had 2 gmail and 1 hotmail account). After calling this morning and no pin. I give up. I deleted all and any itineraries. It only saves us a few hundred dollars. FD would be the really good deal and would make it so we could go. Oh well.

Tried that as well.... did all the itineraries, with several different email accounts, logged off, stayed off for about 2 to 3 weeks, rinsed and repeated.

Still nada.

I'm hoping for the 40% before our resorts of choice get too full.

The FD does nothing for us, the two of us eat like birds and could survive on a Kona salad and a shared Ghirardelli cone every day.

The Deluxe resorts are filling up fast with people using the 40% off code, and the 25% off public deal.

I would book with the public discount to lock in your room choice, and have them change the rate, if you get a pin. Thats what we did! 25% off deluxe is still pretty good, if you dont get a pin.

If I go & setup multiple accounts to try & get pins should I be using my actual address info? Are the pins tied to anything other that your name? I'm new to this & just want to get it right.

when I booked my pin they were not interested in my address - I was applying the pin to an existing booking so I simply quoted the pin number and the reservation number and the CM simply applied it - no questions asked.

Lots of tricks tried in the past few weeks, and no PIN. Before I make myself crazy, what is the minimum stay for the discount? We'll likely just be there a Friday night, pre-cruise. (unless DH gives into more! )

I had my pin applied to a one night stay - so that is probably the minimium
(I already had all the other nights on a public 40% off deal - could only get the last night on the public 25% off deal - so not much money but after having gone through all this like everyone else the joy of the pin was a bit of Disney magic)

I think we are losing a lot of people due to giving up!
Hopefully this week brings good news, for public discounts or lots of PIN offers!

Thats part of the problem with so many pins floating around right now. The CM I talked to said that a lot of people who had reservations at a values, and mods were switching to deluxe with the pin. People who had reserved deluxe, were upgrading views, or to concierge level with the pin. She also said, a lot of new reservations using the pins were mostly at deluxes because of the 40% off. I cant say I blame everyone. We are guilty, we switched rooms at the Poly when we got a pin code. Went from GV Concierge to TPV Concierge for basically the same price as we were already spending. A no brainer.
Bottom line, the wait for a pin code may not be the problem now, but for availability at the deluxe resorts that may be the problem, unfortunatally.
They only have "so many" rooms to go around at the discount prices.
If you want to stay at a value or mod (not a bad thing!) you may have better luck. Heck we would love to try CBR, or POR, but we are a family of 5, so we have to do deluxe .

There is nothing to feel guilty about - Disney make an offer - you accept! There is no-one or nothing to blame. I assure you Disney are very happy with the whole situation and are monitoring it very closely. They'll have teams of analysts tracking the volume.

I can see that! If we get a pin with 40% of a deluxe, we're definately switching to AKL club level savannah view.

I admit, your post didn't give me much hope, it was a downer, but in reality,
there are soooo many options and soooo many dates and months to be handed out. Especially since it goes to the end of the year, and with speculation of free dining coming out, I am sure that SOMETHING WILL work!
My ultimate dream is to stay at Poly again only in Club Level, or never stayed at GF, but would take YC. BC. BLT and depending on the offer no dining with a discount on a great room and resort OR no discount and free dining...
its a win win for me, because I am on vacation and at disney with my family and friends. The PIN thing is a challenge and its fun to meet new people in the same predicament, and the planning is as every bit of fun and the pay off is a fabulous Disney Vacation.... so no matter what happens and where we end up, we know we'll be at Disney SOMEWHERE at the end of August!

BE HAPPY HAPPY, don't think twice about feeling guilty! It's all good!
And it will work out for anyone who is easy to please and generally a happy person, because the outside circumstances never dictate the inner person!

I checked another email address and found the same thing. I guess the notice that they had about the site being updated means that that's what's happened. I just checked some of mine and they are still there, I will check the remainder at work today... maybe your getting your PIN today?!
