Support group for us no pin people!?

oh, man.... ready to start my week-end depression. I am guessing the stats are not showing week-end PIN arrivals! I set up an email Tuesday, but still pinless in OH.

Are most of the emails Yahoo, or Hotmail or Gmail? Does there seem to be any pattern here?

I saw a lot of Monday and Wednesday set ups this week. Maybe create a new account each day of the week. (Though I dont think Ive read anywhere that someone set up on a Saturday??...you can take today off!)

Also..my pins came in Yahoo accts. I got ZERO in my 4 comcast accounts.

I am staying OFF the Disney web site all together and delete my cookies, hmmm, hourly??!!!!!!!!!

You know, I never get a pop up survey on my computer though, maybe that is an issue? :sad2: Can't think of anything I am doing different than anyone else.
I have MULTIPLE Profiles set up with MULTIPLE household addresses.
I recently got the Video Vacation Planner when using Disney Parks Registration
( twice on one account ) is that a good sign?
I am exasperated. I think I might go back in and say the accounts were set up in error and start from scratch. I have even set up an account from a work computer with a new address etc...

I learned the pop up survey trick...

Log into disneyworld.com. Poke around in the offers (not itineraries), but dont save one. Then just X out of the website (DO NOT LOG OUT...just click the X in the upper right corner of your monitor).

The pop up survey will appear in about 10 seconds.

I logged in through the disneydestination.com site on Wednesday and I recieved my pin in my Yahoo email Friday morning at 8:58 a.m. Did all the tricks and finally got one! I have 3 other accounts through hotmail and hubby's work and still nothing there. I wonder if the reason I got one is I went through the disney destinations site, not through the regular disney world page I used before.

10 email accounts, did everything that everyone else has done and then some.

Deleted cookies, left them alone, created intineraries on Sun, Wed, Tues, Fri, Thu, Sat, Mon and a few days I didn't even know existed.

Absolutely nada after 4 weeks.

The odd thing is, I have received a free snowglobe or piece of stationery for every single one of these accounts.
I wonder if that means you won't get a pin code if they send you a freebie :confused: That's your consolation prize and you should be thrilled to have it.... I mean why would anyone want a silly PIN when they could have yet another glorious piece of stationery.
 
I just created another new email account, this one's gmail. I cleared all my cookies, created a new WDW account with my new address. I've given it a US address, looked at a vacation offer, exited without saving, told the survey it wasn't the best value, created an itinerary with offsite hotel selected and wrote in the comments that onsite was too expensive.

Now I'm going to log off, and not get back on there again for maybe a week...

Fingers crossed, I have a good feeling about this one :lmao:
 
I got another one. The 20/30/40 pin. This was on a different email but it was one of the newer ones I had just set up. With this one, I had set up an itin in My Vacation, stated no accomodations, yes to tickets and then have been off for about a week. That's the same way I got the last one. The email arrived on Friday at 9am PST. I really wish these were transferable, I'd love to be able to give one to someone here.

Just a suggestion, but if you're not getting the survey at the end, maybe your website browser isn't allowing pop-ups, and that might be triggering some of the issues? On Internet Explorer and Firefox, there are options in the menus to allow pop-ups for specific websites (usually under Tools)...

On the account I got my pin, I always got the survey at the end....

Just a thought.... Hope it helps :hippie:

I followed the advice of clearing cookies...I set up a new email...went in and just planned a generic itinerary with staying off site...I did this on Weds, the 21st and got it today, Friday the 23rd at 12:08pm est.:banana::banana::banana:This was after trying several other ways....THIS ONE WORKED FOR ME...also...I called on Weds and there was nothing on my husbands or my names........

You should, it might be the same sort of thing as the itinerary idea.
I did it on one of the new ones and left the other two alone, but I might go back in through the email link and log on, play and log off and leave it.

Stay logged off the site?

I don't know, I am going to call again this aft.

Maybe free dining will come out AS we as a General Public offer for 40 % off club level, they had that offer for the LONGEST time at the beginning of the year!

If I go & setup multiple accounts to try & get pins should I be using my actual address info? Are the pins tied to anything other that your name? I'm new to this & just want to get it right.

I used all my same info for all the new accounts. The only one that I received a PIN on was the yahoo account and not the gmail, my work or comcast accounts.

Also, I figured out that Comcast blocks some emails. I have never received any emails from Disney at my Comcast account, but when I created my gmail account, I started getting emails there from Disney (including the welcome one). There have been other emails that I get at gmail that I never got at Comcast. So if you have a Comcast account, try creating a yahoo or gmail account to use instead. I bet you'll start getting Disney emails.

I just keep getting the freebies.

I have one more tactic. Next week we're visiting our inlaws for a couple days. I'm going to try creating some email accounts from their computer and doing some itineraries and such, then I'll leave it alone again.

If nothing happens after that, I'm just about ready to give up. There really isn't a tried and true way to get these PINs (much as many think certain little tricks will trigger them), I think sometimes you're just on the NEVER-land list :confused3

Tried it all too, totally agree, and also believe I am firmly planted on the NEVER-land list. :sad1:
 
Lots of tricks tried in the past few weeks, and no PIN. Before I make myself crazy, what is the minimum stay for the discount? We'll likely just be there a Friday night, pre-cruise. (unless DH gives into more! ;) )
