Support group for us no pin people!?

I still get some mail from my college at my parents house in my maiden name.... um I graduated a lllooonnnggg time ago. I actually thought of setting up a new email with that address and name. If I got a pin, could I still use it even when I inform them of the changes of my personal information that "must not have gotten corrected in the computer"

I have finally found my "home" here on this thread! I have spent my whole morning laughing hysterically at my fellow DIS-ers and their pinless misery....please sign me up! I have been trying all the tricks for about a week and a half. I tried the new profile suggestion with the new to disney email, earlier this week. Still waiting. I got nothing.

I have a question about creating mulitple accounts - do you use your home address and phone number in them all? Do you leave that blank? What about if you create an account for you dh, do you use the same address?

I want to try some of your tricks and see if I can get a pin.

OK I signed up DH late last week but have been going on and off their website on that one daily until about a day and a half ago after reading a post about not doing that but have heard nothing other than to create my own video and the Prince of Persia Movie on that one. Today I signed up DD did all the itineraries, saving vacations, profile, etc and logged out and that's it. I am leaving that one alone and not logging back in.

Now I feel like the croc in Peter Pan, tick tock, tick tock just waiting to see what will happen and to which email, since my old one still has a bunch of stuff going on with it too......

Have any passholders recieved pins?? I'm thinking this is why I haven't gotten one. I need a passholder rate because I need to book the passholder DDP.

Been a passholder every year since 2003. Never received a pin. Have not purchased an AP this year for the first time since 2003. Do not have any trips booked for the first time since 2002. Still no pin.

I could be wrong, but I believe other passholders have gotten pins. I'm not sure if being a passholder dimishes your chances, but who the heck knows. Good luck!

Hi Emily!

First:
Clear your cookies...

Then set up the account (( try another address if you want to or can )), make an itinerary, say you are staying off site and do not need tickets, log off. Leave it alone for a few days.

MANY MANY MAD METHODS!!! Though!!!!!!!!!!!


Other ideas out there:

You can create as many as 2 different itineraries.

You can search resorts and save them, and log off.

You can do both methods or one or the other.

THE common factor for those who receive pins seems to be logging off and leaving the profile idle for about a week,
PLEASE NOTE: I have seen 24 hour turn around times and 2 week timeframes. So take heart!!!

BEWARE!!!!
Enter the 'pin game' with eyes wide open, if you have an addictive or competitive or o.c.d. personality!!! Your sure to get hooked!

Also MANY people are also speculating that US addresses seem to do the trick also, don't know where you hail from?

I am convinced it is like a lottery, and luck of the draw!

I've cleared everything and set up an itinierary with staying off site...I won't touch it all week....hope it works!!!!

It happened! I got a pin!

I created a new account about 2-3 weeks ago. I had no saved offers, but entered two itinerarys, both that I still needed accommodations. I have been going in every couple of days and adding/modifying the itinerarys.

Btw, I have had an existing account for about 2 years, with saved offers, etc, AND GOT NOTHING. So, it definitely had to do with the itineraries and the "still needing accommodations".

This took about 2-3 weeks, so be patient.

I'm so excited!

I followed the directions to the letter and that 3 weeks ago - Nothing! Oh sure I have received the Disney digital book email, new Disney movies email, and many others but nothing that offers any kind of a discount

I need to get that email / snail mail soon or I may be fired for lack of productivity - the only thing I'm getting accomplished is checking my email regularly (like every 3 minutes) and reading this thread for comedic relief while I wait!!!

You and me both. Seriously, based on my record for the past eight pinless years, I sadly sincerely believe I will never get a pin no matter what.
The sickest thing, and I almost have to laugh at myself for this, is that I am 95% sure we are not going to Disney this year and I'm still looking for a pin.

Still Pinless.... but I got the snowglobe thing in my email as well today (to go with the free stationery from yesterday... yeehaw!)

I have my dates picked, my flights booked and paid for, now all I need is a PIN code for a resort room.

My hubbie said it was because I got sick for most of this week that got my pin (20/30/40), but I'm thinking not...

What I did:

• four different emails with the same home addresses; three under my name, one under hubbie's name
• saved itineraries around the times I was looking for
• looked at package offers while logged in
• saved package offers while logged in
• looked at room offers while logged in
• looked at ticket prices while logged in
• saved room only offers while logged in
• every time the non-booking survey popped up, told it it was too expensive

What WORKED for me may not work for you :

• changed info on two new email addresses that weren't already registered with Disney; one to my hyphenated last name, one to my work address
• canceled all saved offers and itineraries
• logged into the new accounts and made itineraries for times around when we wanted to go
• put didn't need accommodations (staying in non-Disney resort) for all
• put things actually IN the itinerary of the email address that got the PIN code
• shopped all levels of Disney packages and rooms, but never saved
• always told the pop-up survey when asked Other: Staying Off-Site
• Once finished, stayed logged OFF of Disneyworld site
• Once I got a junk email from Disney Destinations (snowglobe, etc), then I logged back in and started over

After 10 days, a PIN email showed up in one of the new emails (never any of the ones that were currently registered with Disney from previous trips), on April 19, three days after an offer for Disney videos. I hadn't done anything with any of the emails or Disney accounts since before the weekend since I've been sick. Interestingly, this is the one that has my maiden-married last name on it; my last name is unusual, so I was wondering if, because my mom and I had a trip booked, I was getting screened out because of that. My hubbie says it's random, the CMs say it's random, but darned if I didn't get it on THAT account and none of the others....

So now, instead of a weekend in PO-FQ for our Mom-Daughter weekend, I'm surprising my Mom with the Poly!!!! And hubbie is SERIOUSLY considering a trip in late October- we can do WL for the price of a moderate....

Has anyone tried setting up a new account through this website:

I got there by typing in disneydestinations.com. I used another new email and a different address.

Once I set up the new account, I clicked on Disney World Resort in the upper left corner, which took me to disneyworld.com and I added the itineraries as I have been doing previously and then I logged out.

Tonight I got my first email from Disney Destinations. It was an invitation to create my own video to watch right then and there. As I set up the video, I was asked to enter my personal info and when I'd like to visit, etc. so they could send me additional info. It also asked where I'd like to stay. I checked the box that said I'm not sure. lol.

We'll see what happens.

Okay, yesterday I opened a new yahoo account yesterday and set up a new profile on Disney. Looked into a vac package at the Poly but did not save. I did save an itinerary saying we were staying offsite. Logged off and have not been on since. I did get an e-mail from Disney Destinations with pictures of the resort we were looking at, but no pin.

Maybe tomorrow.

Very happy for you...hopefully each day...as we try all the tricks..member after member will receive their dream pin and be removed from the list!!! ...okay that is the optimistic side of me speaking...
