Ok, I still want to know where in the itinerary section it is asking you for the "reason" you haven't selected to stay on-site.
When I do the itinerary and choose "Non Disney Resort" from the drop-down menu, it never asks me for the reason why. It just goes to the next section which "do I need park tickets".

Is there a different form depending on where you're from?
I am in Canada, but I'm using the regular Disney.com site to login and build my itinerary.


BTW... Congrats Dizneedoll!!

go into the "Plan your days" Section, At the bottom there is a place to edit your accommodations, click on that and then a window should open where you can state your comments.

When I do the itinerary and choose "Non Disney Resort" from the drop-down menu, it never asks me for the reason why. It just goes to the next section which "do I need park tickets".

The only time I was asked anything was if I fooled around with diferent vacation packages and when I didn't save one for later, a pop up window appeared with a quick survey. One of the last questions was something about why I didn't book or save the vacation. I in there that the prices were too much.

What I meant was, I created a vacation package (choose AKL, 2 adults, 2 kids, 6 nights/7 days, park tickets, dining plan) and was given a price. I saved that vacation package, then selected "leave offer". At that point, a survey window came up and asked why I wasn't selecting the offer. That's when I was able to click somethign along the lines of "value not good" and in the box below I typed in that as much as it's our dream to stay at AKL we cannot afford the price.

THEN I went and created the itinerary where I selected "non-disney resort" and "purchase tickets upon arrival". Saved it and didn't fill in any more information.

I'm going crazy trying to get a pin. Now I can see why people have spreadsheets saving their various IDs and passwords! I've created my 5th profile between my name & my husband's.

As much as I'm thrilled for every single person who receives a PIN, I have to admit, it will be doubly-exciting when the first Canuck on the PINless list receives one because then I will know for sure there is hope and I'm not just typing my brains out creating new email ID's for nothing

Still PINless here *and* I got a slap in the face when I received WDW emails on 3 accounts today but they were all Prince of Persia sweepstakes ads. AAARRRGGGHHHH!!

Ok, here's the whole sequece of events. On Monday April 12th around late afternoon I created my first new email and new profile on Disney's site.Under profile update I edited my contact preferences to include every option they listed including fax which I don't even have. I did the itinerary and said no accomadations needed, then checked staying off site. Yes to tickets. I left everything else blank. Saved it and signed out. Left that one alone and did not sign back in again. I then created several new ones and saved offers, saved and then deleted itins. The one I got the pin offer on was the one I did not touch since 4-12, the first new one. So I think you really need to stay off of at least one profile. To up your chances try to stay off them all. Save your itin. log out and stay out. Mine took 8 days. So don't give up!

btw...the email subject line read "Bonnie, don't be late for this very important rate" and I knew right away.

I am like the rest of the addicted Dis'ers and check my email multiple times daily but had never received any pins, either email or snail mail way. Last week I cleared out my hubby's itinerary, made another one and then (like everyone else) marked the non-resort hotel box. I then didn't go back to the site for about 4-5 days. This morning I once again checked the email but there was, once again nothing there. I then checked my junk mail file (which I only rarely do) and lo and behold I saw the beautiful words "Disney Destinations". I had received my first (and probably only) pin. It was the 20/30/40 discount. I am not sure we can use it because we are staying at the campgrounds this visit but I am going to try like heck to get some sort of discount. Best wishes to all..Don't give up!!!

Well whaddya know!

I got another DD email, with yet another download for free printable stationery.

Yippee!!

Think I'll print out the stationery and then type myself a letter on it from Disney Destinations telling me that I have the super-duper "Jumbo Dumbo Discount Code" with 65% off Deluxe resorts. Then I'll call a CM and when they question it, I'll fax them a copy (on the free Disney stationery of course).
It's all very official and legitimate

I have created my 4th account and done what the pp said. I opened a yahoo e-mail and saved an itinerary. Now I will just wait and not log in for a few days. I am not good at waiting so this is going to be hard. I'll just keep coming here for support.
