I'm planning my first Disney trip with the wife (1 year anniversary) and was just wondering if I should skip breakfast reservations for the free food they serve in the hotel.

I'm staying at the contemporary, and per the descriptions, it appears that you could get by without getting breakfast elsewhere.

Can anyone share their experience with the resort breakfast food?

Also.. What kind of breakfast do they serve on the club level of Contemporary

Are you staying in a CL room?

The lounge has food available at certain times. I know they have some breakfast items available, snacks and some appetizers in the afternoon/early evening. I've never stayed at CL.

I think I recall someone mentioning that they had cereal, I don't recall the other items.

Club level food isn't "free," it's included in the increased price you are paying to stay there. But personally if I were staying club level I wouldn't suggest DDP unless you're going to book a restaurant every day, and you're willing to let the CS go unused if necessary.

We made do with club lounge food for breakfast most days at the Poly -but it's just continental there - cereal, bagels, croissants, fruit. But that works for us and a few days we had sit down breakfast reservations. It depends on how/what you want to eat in the morning as to whether that will work for you.

I also wouldn't do the DDP and stay CL, but we never get the DDP anyway so I'm not a good judge, most likely.
