Supershuttle? Anything cheaper??

I priced out taking the Supershuttle from LGB to the Grand Californian for our upcoming trip. It's going to be $84 rt for the two of us. I also checked out Prime Time Shuttle, and it's the same price. Are there any discounts available or anything cheaper than $84 to get us from here to there? Renting a car would cost us $200 a week, not including taxes and insurance. I think I'm running out of options! Any ideas anyone??

I think you're not looking for the right car rental deal! Look at Costco's travel website for ar deals. I find Alamo especially economical from there. Also look at www.mousesavers.com for car rental codes.

there is also a rental spot just down the road from disney, you could rent and then return it...

Personally I would stay away from the SUper Shuttle, we ended up on a "disneyland express" that took 3 people to their homes and it took a LONGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG time to get to the GCH!

Let me refresh my original post. The $200 for the rental is for the 8 days we'll be there. Which I guess isn't that terrible, but once you factor in the costs of parking, it's almost not worth it.

I thought I read good things on this board about SuperShuttle. Maybe it's another company. Anyone? Bueler??

It says a cab would be $36 one way, presumably for as many people as you can squeeze into a cab.

Try pricing a towncar. We went thru www.limozip.com, and the price is close to that. It is so nice to have a private car drive you without crowding or stopping.

The cost for parking really isn't a factor if you're staying at the GCH because it is built into the resort fee.
