I need to buy baby food and diapers while in WDW. Do they have a market on the grounds because we will not be renting a car? We are staying at WL.

I don't believe so. If you have a car service bringing you to you resort they usually do a thirty minute grocery shopping.

I brough the baby food in my checked bag on the plane. Gerder makes food in plastic tubs now. I put the glass jars in tube socks before packing it.

I hope this helps:)

we stayed at poly our last visit and we shipped baby supplies down to the hotel UPS, it was waiting for us when we arrived, great way to send the essencials

Yes, WL has a small store area. The baby care centers in the parks also sell those things. You can get a few types of baby foods and diapers, but the prices are pretty high.

There are several options--renting a car onsite for one day, using a town car to get to the Lodge and having a free grocery stop, use netgrocer or send a package to yourself, or use one of the grocery delivery services that are talked about on these boards.

If you take the things you'll need it will give you more souvenir room on the way back!

It is well worth the money to rent a car for the day or make a stop on your way in if you are taking a town car. The small formula can that is $7.99 at WalMart is over $15 at the resort or baby center stores - the diapers are sold in packs of 5-10 and are also very expensive. Buy more liquid than you expect you'll need - juice boxes, small bottles, whatever works best for you. We found we drank 2-3 times more than normal there, and actually at almost half as much on the warmer days.

What you save by going off site (and further away than Goodings) will make the trip more than worth it.

My advice would be to pack it in your suitcase or have a car service take you from the airport to your hotel. Make sure when you reserve the car, you request a grocery stop. The driver will take your to a grocery store for a 30 minute stop on the way to WDW.

I have seen a couple of people use a company called WeGoShop.com. You email them your order, with the store, date and time of delivery. Then they will deliver groceries directly to your room.

If you pack diapers and food in your suitcase, you will have more room for souveniers to bring home ;)

Thanks everyone for all your help. I did call WL and they said they have a store on site at the hotel but I figured they probably don't have much of a selection. I'm not sure which option I will go with yet but thank you all for the great ideas!!!
