supermarket near Sea world

we are sating at the Residence inn-SW and wanted to know if there was a supermarket/ wall mark nearby

any idea?

There is a supermarket (Publix) on Vineland Rd. near Sea World. But there is even a closer one. Take Central Florida Pkwy. away from Sea World and I-4, and the Publix will be about 1-2 miles down on your right hand side. Hard to miss!

My favorite Publix down that way is the one on Vineland (across from the mall). HUGE, very nice. But the other one mentioned is closer to SW (by a couple of miles).

As someone mentioned, the closest Publix is at Williamsburg Plaza on Central Florida Parkway. Just head east on Central Florida Parkway and it will be on your right. In the same plaza is one of the best pizza shops in the area, Subs Plus. As far as a Wal-Mart, it depends on when you are traveling. If you are coming in the next few weeks, then the closest would be on southbound side of SR-535 as you head toward 192. However, there is a brand new Wal-Mart completing construction on Turkey Lake Rd between Central Florida Parkway and Sand Lake Rd. I have no idea when it will be opening but it will be a very short trip from the Sea World area. From Sea World you would head west on Central Florida Parkway, almost as if you were getting onto I-4 West but instead of going up the ramp onto the highway, stay in the right lane and continue to the end which is Turkey Lake Rd. Turn right on Turkey Lake and the new Wal-Mart will be on your left shortly after you pass Dr. Phillips Hospital.

Agreed, the Publix at I-Drive and Apopka-Vineland is a lot nicer, as well as a lot bigger. It's also closer than the Williamsburg one from the Residence Inn, with a lot less traffic to fight, if you know the way.

Take a right out of the hotel onto Westwood Blvd., then turn right at the light onto International Drive (you will be by a 7-11, not a Bennigans--both ends of Westwood dead end at International Drive, it can be confusing). Turn right, the Publix will be on your right just before the next traffic light. It's set back from the road a bit, but look for the Walgreens.

By the way, bearette, this is the one across from the Outlet Mall.
