Supercallifragilistic-ADR'sApproachUs! May '09 PTR *Trip Report has Begun! Pg. 208*

I hope your mom gets to go along!! Thanks for introducing her to us:goodvibes

Love the pics...and i think it's neat that you were both married in the same park!!

paula

Your mom will love anything you plan. She will love just being there with you and having that one on one time in such a special place!

I really hope your mom's days off are approved! :yay: You are such a sweet daughter to recognize and appreciate her sacrifices and want to Disney pamper her. You two will have such a great time! A lazy afternoon walking around World Showcase shopping always gets my vote. And you could squeeze a grey goose slushie or glass of champagne in there... :rolleyes1

I just scrolled back some and cracked up at "wogging"!! Yes!! ::yes:: I will be "wogging" the Princess 1/2 marathon!!

I hope your Mother/Daughter trip turns out for you. I know I look forward to doing things like that with my Daughter when she's grown.

I'm impressed you all are going to do the 1/2 marathon. I really need to get in shape. The other day I was showing Anna Grace how to skip and was wiped out after only a few times. :rotfl:

Loved the update on your mom and the pics were great. Its great to have a close relationship with your mom. My mom is my best friend. I really hope your mom gets her days off so you can make great memories together.

Tammy

I so loved meeting your MOM!!!! What a wonderful woman!!! I am hoping and praying that she goes---I think it will be one of the most wonderful things you and your mom have ever done together---the memories will be priceless!!! Please tell your Mom that we all want her to go SO badly!!! SHE MUST!

Nice to meet your mom! So glad I was able to contribute to a true shoe obsession. ;) I teared up a little thinking of her working all those extra hours to go to Disney. Now...onto important matters...WHAT bag is she going to carry??? ;):lmao:

Your mom sounds like a wonderful person. I so hope she is able to go with you! I envy mother/daughter relationships. My mom and I never really got along well which is sad because I'm her only daughter.

Back to this wogging the 1/2 marathon. I would love to do that! I think you should get a team together LL. That sounds like a lot of fun to do as a group. :thumbsup2

Now, in your mom's shoe collection, does she have any crocs?! :rotfl:

OK here I am again after another week spent MIA (due to work, not Disney this time. Boo!). I am all caught up, again!

Those pretzel rods look amazing. I wish I had gotten some when I went to Goofy's - I ended up with a gingerbread mickey instead, which was so ridiculously big I couldn't finish half of it!

I love your Super Sweet 60 list! It made me so homesick for WDW. I need to hurry up and buy this house so I can move on to planning another Florida trip! I will live vicariously through yours in the meantime

Awww I loved "meeting" your mom. She seems like such a lovely person... and you look so much like her! Wow! I am so glad your plans to have her join you are working out.:goodvibes You will have such a great time.

I know I've uh, mentioned this before but...

TEA AT THE GF!!!

My mom LOVES it. IMO it is totally worth giving up some park time for.:lovestruc
I know I look like her, what is funny is that we are asked all the time if we are sisters. She just loves that, me not so much. :headache:
Tea at the GF is on my radar. I am just not sure about giving up park time. I sent a "survey" to my Mom. I'm thinking that we might be able to skip Hollywood Studios in order to spend more time at the other three parks. We'll see what answers she comes up with!

Nice introduction of your Mom!!! Great pics, too, LL! Thanks for sharing!:goodvibes I'm so excited to see that there is a good chance she'll be able to make it...keeping my fingers crossed that she will get her days off she requests, keep us posted!! I"m with you, it's so nice to think of the time you will get to spend with your Mom showing how much you love her and taking that time to spend with her....that's why I'm so looking forward to doing my trip in September with my own Mom!!!!:cloud9: Thanks for sharing!!
I hope she is able to go too. Have you started your PTR yet for you September trip? I want to "meet" your Mom too! :thumbsup2

I love the pics. You and your mom look so much alike. Too cute!
Yes we do. When I was little they used to call me Cliff Jr. after my Dad, I looked a lot like him then but over the last five or six years I am more and more like my Mom.

You're mom is truly a lovely, beautiful lady!!! I hope she gets the time off approved! :goodvibes

Okay, LL, I am cracking up over the second picture of you all on the edge of the lake -- what are you doing with that arm/hand??? For some reason I am suddenly singing a line from my favorite Madonna song, "Strike a pose, there's nothing to it." :rotfl::lmao::rotfl2:
I have no idea what I am doing with that arm/hand. In my defense that picture was taken after 6 hours in the car to Northern Maine, then my Dad decided to take a tour of the area where he grew up, needless to say I was not impressed. :rotfl2:

Your mom is lovely! How wonderful that you were married in the same park as your parents. It is rare to find people our age who's parents are still married. My parents would have been married 40 years on April 26th. My mom turned 18 on April 1 & my dad turned 18 on April 24th and they were married 2 days later and graduated high school 2 months later!
Yes, I love that I was married at the same park. When we were younger, we would go to that park as a family and my brother and I would make my parents stand where they got married and then run through where all our family members stood. Hehehe.

I loved meeting your mom and the family photos are priceless. I think it is so sweet that you and your mom will be able to go to Disney together! What fun. I say while you are at Test Track, head over and try Mission Space (green), it's fun!
I am not interested in Mission Space, it doesn't look fun to me. I'm not even quite sure what the ride entails but I don't think it's one I would like. Is it like Star Tours, because I don't really care for that one either.

Oh LL! What a great intro to your mother- you are a super loving daughter!!!

Yes, I agree w/CP, the "Madonna" pose is very funny! Adorable though- def. something I've done a time or two.
All I remember from that picture is that I LOVED that outfit. I wore it all the time that summer, I even had two because my twin cousins had given them to me since they had outgrew them. :rotfl2:

I think one of my FAVORITE attractions in MK is Mickey's Philharmagic. It's so amazing how its a stage and then your immersed in 180 degree 3-D images. Def. a change from the last time she was there!!

As far as ADRs- I just have my usual suggestion of the latest ADR you can get, so you don't sacrifice park time, you can take your time eating leisurely, and stroll through a beautiful nearly empty park while reflecting on a perfect day together!

I really hope she gets to go cuz I wanna hear ALL about it! ::yes::
Ahhh yes!! Mickey's Philharmagic is an absolute must do with my Mom. I will never ever forget seeing her literally JUMP out of her seat while we watched Honey, I Shrunk the Audience when she thought the mice were on her legs. :rotfl2:
A late night ADR might work for us, I'll have to think about it! :thumbsup2

Ah, great pics! I really hope she does get to go!
Me too!! My fingers are crossed.

I hope your mom gets to go along!! Thanks for introducing her to us:goodvibes

paula
I'm glad you liked the pics! :thumbsup2

Your mom will love anything you plan. She will love just being there with you and having that one on one time in such a special place!
This is so true, I really can't wait!

:rolleyes1
Oh yes, there will be some alcoholic beverages while we are in the World Showcase! :thumbsup2

I just scrolled back some and cracked up at "wogging"!! Yes!! ::yes:: I will be "wogging" the Princess 1/2 marathon!!
You like that term? I think we need tshirts with "Woggers Unite". :rotfl2:

I hope your Mother/Daughter trip turns out for you. I know I look forward to doing things like that with my Daughter when she's grown.
I know my mom looks forward to going to Disney with her future grandchildren so I think it will be fun for us to "practice". :lmao:

I'm impressed you all are going to do the 1/2 marathon. I really need to get in shape. The other day I was showing Anna Grace how to skip and was wiped out after only a few times. :rotfl:

Tammy
I probably couldn't skip to save my life at the moment but I figure with moving it's the perfect time to get into a new routine. For the first time in my life I am just a teensy bit excited to exercise.

I so loved meeting your MOM!!!! What a wonderful woman!!! I am hoping and praying that she goes---I think it will be one of the most wonderful things you and your mom have ever done together---the memories will be priceless!!! Please tell your Mom that we all want her to go SO badly!!! SHE MUST!
She is a very wonderful woman! I will tell her, she is wary of internet friends. She refers to Jen as my stalker....in a joking manner of course. :rotfl: Jen is well aware of stalker status too, she is determined to win over my Mom. :thumbsup2

Nice to meet your mom! So glad I was able to contribute to a true shoe obsession. ;) I teared up a little thinking of her working all those extra hours to go to Disney. Now...onto important matters...WHAT bag is she going to carry??? ;):lmao:
She really did sacrafice a lot for us to go, if it wasn't for her we wouldn't have. My Dad is anti-Disney.
I did give her a hipster for Christmas so I bet she will carry that. She has a small point & shoot camera so that and her wallet should fit nicely in there. :rolleyes1 You know I have already thought about this. ;)

:rotfl:
I'm so sorry that you don't get along with your Mom. We've had our rough spots but for the most part we have always gotten along.

I should get a wogging team together. I think you can register a team too. I'm going to pay attention to how the registering goes for the 2010 1/2 Marathon so I will be fully prepared when it comes time for 2011!

Kristine actually sent me some croc capris that didn't fit her and they didn't work for me either so now my mom has two pairs of those! I will have to discuss proper park foot attire with her. :snooty:

OK here I am again after another week spent MIA (due to work, not Disney this time. Boo!). I am all caught up, again!

Those pretzel rods look amazing. I wish I had gotten some when I went to Goofy's - I ended up with a gingerbread mickey instead, which was so ridiculously big I couldn't finish half of it!

I really wasn't a huge fan of my pretzel rods but Jen loves them. I might have to try them again with different toppings, maybe that was my problem.

You are buying a house!?! Congrats!! :yay:

Now this "wogging" team...will it be mostly walking with a brief period of jogging???? Cuz I might be able to do that! ;):lmao:

Trying! We've been looking for about 6 weeks. Keep finding ones we like and someone outbids us :headache: Something will eventually work out!
Ugh. That is no fun when people outbid! Something will work out! :thumbsup2

Now this "wogging" team...will it be mostly walking with a brief period of jogging???? Cuz I might be able to do that! ;):lmao:
Yes. I am planning on mostly walking with brief periods of jogging. The way the time worked for the 2009 Princess 1/2 Marathon was that you had to do each mile in 16 minutes or less, for a grand total of 13.1. miles. I think I am understanding this correctly. If I am not, please correct me! :thumbsup2
