I don't know how I missed this when I was planning but found out today that we are arriving in Disney the day before the superbowl (hubby is not too happy about that) and it is also the week of Mardi Gras and half of Lousianna is going to be arriving at the same time! (No offence to those nice Lousianna people;) )

But I was wondering if I can expect the Orlando Airport to be really crowded that day. This is Saturday Feb 5th and the superbowl is Sunday the 6th in Jacksonville. Don't know if people fly into Orlando to get to Jacksonville. We are flying in on Southwest from Baltimore so I am not sure how many people will be flying in from here. I am praying the Baltimore Ravens won't make it to the superbowl because my DH will kill me if he has to watch the superbowl from our hotel room!!!

Also was wondering who has been there during Mardi Gras and how bad are the crowds really!!!

I don't believe that Orlando is a major connection point for Jacksonville.

Even if it is you should be been as you will be leaving the airport and they will staying to make connections. If Baltimore make it into the Super Bowl head over to ESPN on the boardwalk and watch the game with about a million others Enjoy the trip

Thanks DVC guy! I was thinking that Jacksonville wasn't a large airport that could handle all the extra traffic and I know that Orlando is the next biggest and has a lot more direct flights. I just am not sure how a supebowl impacts that.

I told my DH we could do the ESPN, but was also wondering if they had a big screen at DTD.

Thanks again for your response.
