So, we booked our trip leaving now next Tuesday. Never noticed until today that we'll be gone during the Superbowl!
As fate would have it, a classmate of DS10 is also going with his family. We know the family a bit and the DW indicated that DH would be interested in watching the game with me, since we're both in town.

Any recommendations as to where in the 'world' would be a good place to meet for beer and cheer(ing) on our favourite team(s)?
They are staying off site and we're at the POR so I'm thinking if we met him at our resort, we could take a shuttle to wherever a good place would be.

Any suggestions? Want to keep it Disney, but DTD would be preferred.

I would recommend going to the boardwalk and watching it at the ESPN restaurant. But you will have to go early to get a seat. I recommend calling the restaurant and seeing what time they recommend getting there to guarentee a seat. When I went to watch a regular season 1pm game, they recommended being there at 11:30. We got there around 11:30, the line was already very long. The restaurant did not even open until noon. But I have to say we had a blast watching the game. The game that we went to watch was on the big screen.

Ditto what hodgieha said, but if you can't make it there, then there's a Buffalo Wild Wings restaurant on Vineland (about 15min walk or 2min drive from DTD) and it's been good in the past.

Pretty much every watering hole on property will be doing something for the game. We stayed at POFQ one year and they set up a whole area just by the lobby with a big screen tv and seating. If your heart is set on DTD I would call Raglan Road and see of they have a party scheduled. We've done ST Pattys day there and it was amazing.

Regardless of your selection, I would think getting there extremely early would be a must. Given that New England and New York (both of which have extremely large followings) will be playing I would expect there to be considerable crowds wherever you go.

Daniel covered what I was thinking! Competition of space will be very high!

Also ... GO PATS!
