Superbowl viewing @ DVC resorts

Hello everyone...

We'll be going "home" this weekend @ the BWV.... I'm wondering where some of you may be watching the game on Sunday?

If we go to ESPN it will have to be early ( to get a set ) and I read the the Bel vue(sp?) may put in T.V. sets...

BCV has a great big screen TV in the Drawing Room. That could be a great place for a party.

We're getting to BWV on Sunday early in the day and were wondering how crowded the ESPN place would be and if there were other places to watch it.

espn is going to super crazy.. the game starts at 6;30 . The place should be full by 2;00 the latest.. my estimation. go to the crews cup lounge at the yacht club. You might get a seat.. its very not crowded...dave

We were there two years ago, tried to view just a Monday Night game between the Vikings and the Packers.... NEVER AGAIN. People were squeezing in and standing between the tables as people were trying to eat. You couldn't even see the bar. I can't imagine it could get any worse but I'm sure for the SB it will.

I've heard about the ESPN Club during SB's in the past. I'm wondering when we check in (will be about 5:00) how the valet/checkin will be....anyone have any comments about that?

I have been to several Superbowls at the ESPN club on the BW. If you want to get a table, you have to arrive at a really ridiculous time. Lines start forming hours before the game. Just to get in and stand at the bar can take a long time. However, once you are in it is a great atmosphere to watch a football game. Everyone is really into the game and the place goes nuts but yey everyone is real friendly . It was also not too dificult to get a beer since there were loads of bartenders. This year we have a grandvilla at the BW so we will probably watch the game in the room but I still will likely walk down to the ESPN club just to get a feel for the crowd. They even had a beer truck and a big TV out on the BW.

We were at the BWV for the BCS Championship game between Ohio State and Miami and I have never seen a crowd at ESPN like I did for that. If the Super Bowl is similar it will be mobbed. But probably a lot of fun if you like football and can get in.
