Superbowl Sunday on the Magic?

We're going to be cruising the Western Carribean on the Magic on 1/31/04, which includes Superbowl Sunday. What happens for that? Where do they show the game? Do they have football munchies for it? Inquiring minds want to know!!!

Last year we were onboard during the NFC/AFC Championship games. They were listed as activities in the Navigators with activities/snacks in the ESPN Lounge. I did not go to the ESPN area, but the games were also being shown on the TVs in Promonade Lounge, and on the TVs in the staterooms. I'm sure they did more for the SuperBowl. ESPN will be gone or relocated this year, but I'm sure they will be shown in whatever replaces it.

You must mean 1/31/04 ??

I was on the Magic for the Superbowl this past January and it was a riot. I know they did something in ESPN, but I was in Off Beat for Jeff and Fidelio. They were a riot! They gave out prizes...and made sure everyone was quiet for the COMMERCIALS! Once the game came on people were free to chat. Now, since neither of these areas on the ship will be there after drydock, I can only imagine that they will do something similar in different areas?? It definitely was a great time though - and I hate football!

Right you are, Auntie! The date has been changed. We loved Jeff and Fidelio when we took the 2/8/03 Eastern cruise, right after yours. I'm really looking forward to Super Sunday on the Magic now!

Hi Favorite Auntie!!! We were also on that cruise. A few folks had "banners" on their cabin doors supporting their team. That was fun to see.

The Superbowl took place on formal night. We had the early seating, so while DS was in the club after dinner, we watched the end of the game in Promenade. There were lots of folks in there formal attire watching the game. It was lots of fun. . . . probably our most memorable superbowl ever.
