Jennifer & Lisa, love the pictures of your little dancers. I'll have to round up some of my girls first recitals.
I agree "dirty" hair works best for buns. I use the cheap gel from
walmart on the girls hair. Luckily we aren't required to do buns for ballet either. Jaci's ballet class is right after school on Tues. We are have to fly in order to get her dressed, grab a snack, and get to class on time.
I've got a combination of sporty/dance kiddos. Madison, my oldest, gave up sports after 5th grade. She is all about dance and drama. She is currently taking hip hop and musical theatre (a combination of dance, voice, and acting) classes. My son, Derek, loves sports. He plays basketball and baseball. He played soccer thru u10. Jaci, my youngest, loves it all. She takes ballet and lyrical, and plays basketball and softball. She really likes the dance, but loves the sports. After her last game this season, she was asking if she could play the next game with our boys team. She is so fun to watch -- she's 4'2", weighs about 45 lbs dripping wet and isn't intimidated by anyone. It wouldn't have bothered her at all to play against those boys.
In addition, the two oldest each play on two academic teams. Plus they all are involved in 4-h and our church youth group. We wouldn't know what to do if we weren't running around like our hair is on fire every night. We do cherish those nights where everyone is home and we get to spend time together.
And now to check in: I finished up 4 of the letter groups last week while sitting at dance class. I'll have the Park letters and MK swaps in the mail in the next couple of days. Then, I'll really get started on this one and the Cricut swap.
