Super Sports & More Swap 2012~Slideshow in post #3~Complete!

Nice work, Mazda!

Lisa, Morgan's dance teacher is a stickler about the bun! Dan takes her to dance on Friday nights, so I told her in advance that she will NOT have a good bun every week. She still gives Morgan garbage about it almost every week. I kind of want to say something along the lines of "I'm paying you, let it go," but Morgan is old enough to start putting it up herself anyway.

wow, know its important for it to be up, happy Megan's teacher doesn't enforce the "perfect bun" Megan tries to do pony tails and is getting better, not sure she could get the perfect smooth bun that's needed for recital though I have a hard enough time with it :rotfl:

Question for Element Groups Soccer (7 - ckmom97 and DB) and Volleyball (19 - mybestieismickey)

Do you have any team colors you would like me to incorporate into your pieces? The groups are small and I am happy to "personalize" these items. If not I am going with white, black, and grey so it will be universal.

Thanks!

And I'll let this be my update for the 5th -- all pieces are designed and will be cut next week.

Thanks for the check in!
And white, black, and grey is fine for my soccer pieces. Thanks for checking! :)

Love your groups Mazda!! Can't wait to see them in person!:)

And your girls are just beautiful Lisa & Jennifer!!

Have you trid putting a hair net round the bun (or over the whole head, edge hidden under the hairband)? that's what we used to do when I did ballet ;) DNiece always had trouble with hers, for exams they used to get the older girls to help and DSis had to wash it to get it down it had so much hairspray on it:rotfl:

ETA easier to wash hair after ballet - needs a bit of "dirt" to help the pins etc. stick, if its too clean it will go all over

I save the net for the recital bun. I am quite good at doing them, if I do say so myself ;) but DH cannot do it. I came home one day and put her hair up in a matter of minutes...DH looked at me and said "Why can't I do that?" I told him it was because he didn't have, ah, the right equipment... :lmao:

Did I check in? I'm finishing up the Cricut Cuts Swap and the Parks/Icons letter swap first, but will be on time.

Checking in--I've designed everything; pulled papers and started cutting.

Lisa & Jennifer your girls are too cute!

yes I do....yup "dirty" hair does work better...I actually braid the pony tail so it keeps it much neater with her thick hair!

We always played for city league teams and have been every color of the rainbow including black, gray and white, so that will work for me.

Jennifer & Lisa, love the pictures of your little dancers. I'll have to round up some of my girls first recitals.

I agree "dirty" hair works best for buns. I use the cheap gel from walmart on the girls hair. Luckily we aren't required to do buns for ballet either. Jaci's ballet class is right after school on Tues. We are have to fly in order to get her dressed, grab a snack, and get to class on time.

I've got a combination of sporty/dance kiddos. Madison, my oldest, gave up sports after 5th grade. She is all about dance and drama. She is currently taking hip hop and musical theatre (a combination of dance, voice, and acting) classes. My son, Derek, loves sports. He plays basketball and baseball. He played soccer thru u10. Jaci, my youngest, loves it all. She takes ballet and lyrical, and plays basketball and softball. She really likes the dance, but loves the sports. After her last game this season, she was asking if she could play the next game with our boys team. She is so fun to watch -- she's 4'2", weighs about 45 lbs dripping wet and isn't intimidated by anyone. It wouldn't have bothered her at all to play against those boys.

In addition, the two oldest each play on two academic teams. Plus they all are involved in 4-h and our church youth group. We wouldn't know what to do if we weren't running around like our hair is on fire every night. We do cherish those nights where everyone is home and we get to spend time together.

And now to check in: I finished up 4 of the letter groups last week while sitting at dance class. I'll have the Park letters and MK swaps in the mail in the next couple of days. Then, I'll really get started on this one and the Cricut swap.

wow Sheila :worship::worship::worship:

I'm tired out just reading your schedule....you must live in your :car: :rotfl2:
know I'm a mom to one for a reason!

Sorry for the delayed check-in...I hope to start this on the weekend. I'm just finishing up a couple others first.

Sorry to be late as well. I have some sketches/planning done, but nothing actually finished.

For the volleyball group, the generic is fine. My high school colors were maroon, grey, black and white and the teams that I have coached and played on since have been a variety of colors and even no uniform at all.

Thanks for all the check ins!!

I'll be out of town for a few days~leaving tomorrow for a girl's cruise with my sister, be back Tuesday. DH will be home with the kiddos, so if you need to mail or have mailed, he'll be here.

See y'all next week!
