Super Soap Weekend 2008?

Bill loves SSW too, but he has to sleep, he has to eat, we take it in moderation. We get there about an hour to an hour and a half before opening. We aren't interested in autographs, it is just fun to be there and meet them.

Yeah, we usually get to the park at like 3am or so to wait online for the fastpasses. That's part of the fun of SSW. Then once we're inside we're waiting for the shows forever it seems. It's fun. I'm getting sooo excited!

We have gotten to meet some nice actors that seem to understand we won't be getting fastpasses and come to the barricade and talk to us. Michael E. Knight is wonderful with that. He seems to try to talk to everyone when he is signing.

Thanks for the info about the GH stuff, I never knew Steve was like that.

Nothing wrong with not wanting to wait online. Most of the actors are really good about getting to everyone who is around the barricade and signing things and taking pics. Kelly will not leave her line until everyone who is surrounding her has been satisfied. She was actually late to one of the motorcades in 2006 because she stuck around. I personally like waiting in line because #1) It's fun - last year Bradford came and dropped off BBQ Chips and Orange Soda - we b.s with each other....this year we're actually going to do something interactive with the fans that we're planning and giving out prizes and stuff. I'll probably be running around with a microphone for anyone there who is interested

Also I like to get the fastpass 'cause I enjoy the one on one time. I enjoy talking to Kelly or Greg or whoever and seeing them again and just shooting the breeze. I don't even discuss the show with them anymore lol.

I know a lot of people just come to the park for the other eevnts and that's cool, especially if you can't.

Just thought that id give you guys an update. Invites are beginning to go out. I spoke with both Jacob Young and Greg Vaughan about it today. Jacob confirmed that he received his invite, but has to decline because the birth of his son is very close to SSW. I asked him if he had a name picked out. He told me and I chuckled: Luke.

Greg has not received his invite yet, but he is waiting for it and will RSVP if invited.

My daughter was at the same event yesterday, She said some people around her said Steve Burton is going to super soap, They claimed it was on his Myspace, She looked around and there is nothing in writing anywhere, so we are guessing it is gossip, We will start hearing trickles now that the invites are out,

Although I seem to remember around after Labor Day we usually started hearing more and more rumblings of who was invited so hopefully that's the case again this year.

And of course, Vincent Irizarry is returning, and he was a soap weekend staple for many years (he last appeared in 2004). It'd be nice to see him return, but I probably wouldn't hold my breath. I'm still surprised we got Canary back along with Eakes last year.
