Super simple, maybe silly, question

I don't scrapbook. Never have. However, I am making myself an autograph book for my upcoming trip (I'm an adult, shh), which is sort of like a scrapbook, right? I now have a Cricut mini, which I'm obsessed with and probably will cause me to go broke. I completely understand how to make stuff with it. My question is, what sort of paper am I supposed to use as a base to stick all my stuff on? Do I use basic scrapbook paper and just put it in a sheet protector or am I supposed to use something stiffer? Forgive me if I'm missing the obvious; I'm clueless as to all your magical ways. :confused3 TIA!

it depends on what you want to do. I've been known to use heavy paper stock as a base and then cutting stuff on the cricut and adding caracters to that base. I've also use "recipe cards" as a base too

I think it depends on what you are using as a "book" to hold all the pages together and the size of the project when you are finished.

Are you using a scrapbook? Photo Album? Binding the pages?

One time I used really heavy white cardstock when I did them for the boys.

Another time I found a 6X6 minnie mouse scrapbook and used the paper they provided as the autograph parts. I just added some extra papers for the additional characters I wanted.

Yet another trip I printed the characters on white cardstock, had them sign beside their names and used the other side of the page to put the photo I took on it. Then I bound it all together.

I'm using an 8'x8' postbound album. Does that help? I was going to make pages for the characters I know I'm going to see, and then bring blank white cardstock pieces for the surprise characters and make their pages later.

cardstock will work fine for your base! I've used it on plenty of other books and even with a Sharpie, it doesn't bleed through the paper. have fun creating!

Let me see if I can find the 8x8 pages we made a few years ago in a swap.. (it was an 8x8 ABC album but it will give you the idea of what we did and how you can convert it to the autograph book)...

We used the base pages as just heavy cardstock.. give me a few minutes...

BRB!

Thanks guys for all your help! Cardstock base it is. Time to go shopping!
