We're flying into LAX and out of orange county- which means renting a car has a HUGE upcharge. We'll be arriving at LAX at 7:30 on a Wednesday morning (which means traffic on the way down woohoo!) and leaving at 5:30 on a Saturday afternoon.

I'm thinking the shuttle will be the cheapest...we'll only have 1 of our 4 kids with us. Which would be the least amount of hassle? Is one of the shuttles better than the other?

We have always went with Prime Time and have never had any problems.
Have a Magical time!

I just wanted to point out that there is no Disney Magical Express (DME) equivalent for DLR. There is the Disneyland Resort Express, which is operated by Gray Line.

I've taken SuperShuttle (shared van service) from LAX to DLR in the past. It was pretty cheap (about $17 per person), but fairly slow. Overall, it took about 1.5 hours from pick-up to drop-off. The first half was spent at LAX picking up other guests (I was the first one picked-up, so at least I got my choice of seats!).

We are doing the same exact thing, in to LAX, out of John Wayne.
I am booking a car service to pick us up at LAX. I like that they will meet us at the baggage claim and help us get the bags to the car. After a 5 hour cross country flight the last thing I want is added time or hassle getting to the hotel. It costs more but the convenience is more than worth the added cost.
For the return trip I'm still undecided. More than likely we'll just opt for a taxi. I believe the fees are fixed from the Disney resort area to the airport. I want the longest time we can get at the resort before we have to depart. If I don't go with the taxi I'll probably opt for a shuttle on that trip.

We are doing the same thing. We are coming in from HI and flying back to Florida. We will be arriving at 500 am after flying all night. I don't want to deal with picking up a bunch of different people. Are there some recommended private car services?
