My sister is a CM. She said she knows of no secret handshake. Maybe it is a secret society of CMs that doesn't include all the CMs.

Next time I see Friar Tuck at the park I'll have to ask if he's seen any albino monks.

I believe it's not so much a handshake as it is...give the Vulcan "Live Long and Prosper" gesture, stick out your tongue, hop four times on your right foot, drop into a Lord of the Dance one-bended-knee pose, and say "An infant in your lap may dampen your spirits."

Or how about an "infant on your lap may dampen your pants?"

There may not be a "handshake" - but a good CM can usually tell which one of their "guests" are CM's and which ones are real guests....

It's not that hard to figure out when you are in the know.

I took a friend to WDW recently. I am a cast member, she has never been one. I kept pointing out cast members walking around on their day off as guests, and she couldnt understand how I could figure it out.

tsr ... it's really not hard to figure out ... what starts to be scary is when you can identify, with reasonably good certainity which dept someone works in.

To the people who are denying that there is a secret handshake:

What would you be telling us if if there WAS a secret handshake to tell us about but you were told not to tell us about it? Tell us that, pray tell. Tell.

I say:

1) I heard about it from someone who knows they heard it from a CM, so it must be true.
2) You won't tell us about it, so it must be true.
3) You can use a FP after the time has expired and they don't tell us about THAT, so they don't tell us everything.
4) If I had a secret handshake I would tell my good friends so they could secret shake with me, so tell us.
5) Is EMH always 3 hours? So when does FW close?

Yes there is a secret handshake. A bus driver taught it to me , but then told me i couldnt use it because It was going to be closed down and then renovated to make way for a secret dance

I was an Attractions trainer and a character greeter for over five years, and I never heard of a secret handshake, and I figure it would have happened at five years when you get your pin and everything...but I was not inducted into the secret handshake society...
