I went to a different Michael's yesterday to look for both pieces of Martha's punch around the edge family punch. It is adorable and they let me use two coupons, one from Michael's and one from Martha's magazine. This store was beautiful. It was like a boutique shop, not just another big box store with aisles and rows of shelves.
The scrapbooking supplies were in the center of the store, with most papers grouped together by theme with the coordinating embellishments. There were wood floors in the scrapbooking area and ledges strategically placed so you could lay out pieces you were considering. It was lovely. There were other dedicated areas for jewelry making and silk flowers.
I asked the cashier about the store, commenting that it was much nicer than the store closer to home. She said that it was a "signature" store, or something like that. She said there were only ten Michael's stores like this in the country and if I really liked it, I should call 1-800-Michaels and tell them.
Lets just say I'll be shopping at the new store from now on!
