Super Goofs Flying into February team thread

Good Morning everyone-
Lisa and Mike- is the spreadsheet up and/or how would you like me to keep track of my hours so far?

Monday- 1 hour spin, 1/2 hour with personal trainer, 1.5 hours of riding.

just keep them how you have been... the spreadsheet is fairly complicated since i'm working on giving everyone the ability to track daily, weekly monthly and YTD performance individually as well as team based.

Its ready to go now if we forego (albiet temporarily) the individual tracking ability, which i'm tempted to do.

Please try to follow the link above and send a request access email to me.

I'll add each of you, and then you will be able to enter your minutes/miles.

I'll post instructions, but you will find 12 worksheets, one summary for YTD totals, and one for each month.

Under the monthly, find the columns with your name. There is one column for you to enter miles (in orange) and your workout times (in yellow). Its important that you enter your workout times in MINUTES, not hours, as the YTD totals divide the total minutes by 60.

If you have exercise to report that doesn't have mileage associated with it (like Yoga, Pilates, aerobics, mowing the lawn, etc,) just enter minutes, with no miles associated. Your personal miles/time total for each month will be at the bottom of the column in that particular month; We decided to skip the individual weekly total...I'll likely wind up creating team totals for each week at a later date, but thought it was more important to get the daily tracking sheet up quickly.

Please do not enter ANYTHING on the "Monthly Totals" worksheet...that is all formula based, and google docs doesn't allow me to protect those cells against editing...one of the weaknesses of document collaboration.

Please PM me with any questions about the spreadsheet...if you make a mistake, just take your time, relax, and under the heading of "Edit" there is an "undo" command...please make use of it ;)

I am traveling most of today, and in meetings all day tomorrow...it may take a day or two for me to get everyone added...

Thanks to Mike for all the work with the spreadsheet! I am hoping that it will be pretty easy......I am computer challenged!

I got to Pilates yesterday, and am feeling the burn today!

It was decided that we need the weeks for each month...I've temporarily revoked access...hope to have it back up in an hour or so.

Mike

couple of notes:

1) Please only enter values in your columns (Coded in Orange and Yellow)

2) Please do NOT enter any values in cells coded in BLUE...they are formula driven and took a long time to get right.

3) Have fun!

sorry about the multiple invitations to some of you...I'm still learning Googledocs myself; sometimes the version that shows doesn't match the version I uploaded...could one of you with access please tell me if you see cells in blue, with weekly totals on the months tab?

Thank you.

Mike

Mike - I used the link from last email I got -- orange and yellow but no blue.

Rich Welcome from another Michigander (I really do wish they had settled on Michiganian, although technically, I'm not a native so I don't get a vote!) I'm in Beverly Hills, which is about 10-15 miles north of Detroit.

Mike LOL! Looks like I will only be able to access the spreadsheet from home, since work has blocked this as a restricted site! Hey, I only do this over morning coffee and lunch!

Megan Hope your promotion comes through! If you're car shopping, don't forget to look at US-made cars. There are many hybrids and other high-mileage vehicles available from GM, Ford, Chrysler. Check out the Malibu--it compares very well with Camry. And since I work for GM, I can always get some kind of discount to pass along to people.

Kim Yeah for speedwork. I've jsut started to do some over the last month and it is a nice change of pace from plain old runs.

Lisa 40's here this weekend, too. It will feel like Florida--well, almost!

No gym this am for me. Had an early morning call with India, so I will try to get there on the way home.

Maura

Mike, I sent you a request for access. Oh, boy I hope I can figure it out! :rotfl2:

A local running store is trying to start up a running group for women. I'll normally try to go on Sunday, which I heard has had a pretty good turnout, but DH has taken over Sundays temporarily training for his first full so I'm at home with the kids. They added Tuesday mornings and I went today. Let's just say it was only me, the girl who started this up and another woman who runs twenty miles on the weekend. Crud. They are running at Kennesaw Mountain which I've only run once before with DH and never went back - it is like all major hills. I don't know how DH runs out there. Sure enough, this trail we did today was basically a vertical climb the entire first half. I had to walk alot of it and I felt like a total dork. I ended up doing three miles and didn't go the next three. I really need to go Sundays cause I was told there is more of a variety of abilities. I guess I did OK for the most part, they were encouraging, but obviously I need more hill work. :lmao:

Hey team!

Sorry about the no-show lately. Work has been a killer lately and will continue to be for a couple of more weeks. I am keeping up with my workouts and the nukeman's as well. I hope to catch up on everyone soon! I just need to find out how to get to the spreadsheet so I can keep track of my workouts there.

Take care! Here's some :wizard: for those with injuries and illnesses.

Hello Goofs!! Glad to see everyone back and a big :wave2: to all of our new team members!

Did a 5K at Universal on Saturday morning, it was really cold for Florida and DD got really sick so its been a long couple of days since. Have miles for the last 2 days, no long walk today as DD is home sick from school but I am hoping to get out tomorrow morning and walk a few miles around my subdivision!

Susie...I have a friend who just signed up on the DIS and is very interested in being a Super Goof...any more room here for her?

Laurie...I got my "triple print" from ASI the end of last week, love it!! It was rolled up in a tube so I have it under a few boxes trying to get it flat. Once I do, I will take a picture of it. Worth the $50 in my own opinion.

I will post a few pictures from my 5K in another post even though it was January 31st and the miles don't count...glad I did it! Next up...the ESPN 5K on February 28th with some bling at the finish line!!

Hi Goofs,

Bike for me today at 7.5 miles in 30 minutes. I also did some situps on the bench.

I am going to try and enter my information in the spreadsheet.

Have a great Wednesday. !

Good to see another fellow Michigander..

Lynn

WESH 2's Run around the Universe...January 31st. It was a very cold Florida morning. DD and left the house at 5:40am and my car temp said 41 without the wind chill. Here we are before the race, me with 2 long sleeve shirts, a sweatshirt and gloves before the sun came up. Lots of Disney marathon and 1/2 marathon shirts that morning for the long sleeves!! Lindsey NOT happy I made her get up so early.

Here I am, about 42 minutes later running for the finish line. My lungs were screaming at me about 1/4 mile into it because of the cold so I slowed down to a crawl until I could breathe again!

After finishing and getting water, a banana and a bagel, I met Woody and his girlfriend Winnie Woodpecker!

DD and I stopped on the way home at Chick Fil A for chicken biscuits and then headed home for a nap as I worked the night before! Fun race, hope to do it again next year. Race t-shirt is below.

Nice Pics Suzanne!

Leaving for a spin class in a few minutes.

I can't figure out why its easier for me to ride a stationary bike with a bunch of people I don't know than to get on my trainer....

Weird.

Anyway, have a great goofy day!

Suzanne that looked like so much fun! 40 degrees sounds delightful (really sick of the 0-10 degrees here!)

Tuesday- 75 minute fitness yoga then rode for 1.5 hours.

I just signed up for a 2.5 hour spin class for Sunday (supposed to a century ride- 100 miles!)

Pick the month at the bottom of the document.

Scroll down to the correct day of the month.

Find your name in ORANGE. Enter the distance in miles.

In the column to the right of your name in YELLOW, enter the minutes it took you to do the miles, or if there were no miles (like in Yoga, Pilates, mowing the lawn etc) enter the minutes you moved.

Do not modify any cells in BLUE...they are formula driven, and calculate your monthly, team weekly, team monthly and team YTD.

PM or post with any questions.

Mike
