Tuesday...62 mins walk/4 miles
and 30 mins treadmill/1.33 miles

Wednesday...30 mins treadmill/1.31 miles

Happy Thursday everyone!

Just checking in..
Wednesday I ran 3 miles and did some stretching--total 45 minutes. Felt okay, although "la maladie du jour" is calluses/blisters, but hey, I think I can manage those.
Had my massage yesterday, which felt good (painful at times, but good). So we'll see if it helps me out. My massage therapist actually won the WDW half marathon in January--so maybe some of that will rub off on me! (Unlikely, but onecan dream!)
Today did 40 minutes in the pool. It was crowded and I got swamped several times-now I have a "taste" of what it must be like to do an open swim in a tri!

Hope everyone has a great day. The weatherman ticked me off this am when he said we might get snow showers next Monday--you have GOT to be kidding me.

Good morning Goofs. I had a LTO day yesterday. Sorry for not being around and supportive.

We have a new player to welcome, DisneyLuv, replacing the outgoing DirtyBunny. Here's hoping that she stays for awhile!! I'm starting to get a complex...:scared:

Lynnie: Welcome to the runners ranks. Some days we feel it and some days we don't. My hope for you is you have more do days than don't!! Your progress is amazing and fun to watch. It is like Disney through the eyes of someone who has never been!! popcorn::

Suzanne: Are you excited for Minnie yet??? How can you not be!!! You are going to do great and set a new PR too. I can feel it.

Beth/Cecilia: :cool2: I am wayyyy excited for next year now. I have OKC Memorial in April and now RNR to look forward to. My two family trips....poor family...:sad2:

Joanne: It was not us per say in the loss of DB, there is another thread for that. I feel horrible about the circumstances and WISH that everyone was as friendly as the Goofs! :flower3:

All other Goofs: A big wavy hi to everyone. I hope spring is bright and beautiful where you are!!

As for me, yesterday I had a LTO day with shopping for a new equipment trailer. I did get a run in, from my IL's house to my own, 2.8 miles up 3 hills and still could maintain a 10:54 pace. I am not going over 3 miles until I can get under 9:30 again, it is my vow. I then walked with DH during DS baseball practice for another 2.2 miles, up hills again. I must be a glutton for punishment?? :upsidedow They were both really good workouts and my legs were tired. 20 minutes of abs on top of that so I had a good workout day.

Today is another day, strength, 3 mile run and a walk with DH sometime. I am happy that he is out walking and he even has a goal...under 15 minute miles!! Talk about pushing the poor wifey!!!!! :rolleyes1 Okay, okay, I enjoy the nudge and it is better then XT! ;)

Wow Maura, you and I posted at exactly the same time! Glad to hear the massage went well. Here's hoping that they do "rub" some mojo into your muscles!! :lmao: If it works, let us know so we can find our own half/full winner to get a massage from...

And, hello, SNOW...:scared1: :scared1: :scared1: :scared1: :scared1:

Hi guys!

I ran 2 measly little miles out of the 4 scheduled. I was dealing with some shooting pain coming from my hela to the inside of my ankle. I am pretty sure its just pre-race paranoia but I cut it short just in case.

So 2 miles in 18:22.

I am off to Nashville in the morning. I think I am going to try to get a sub 2 hour half marathon on Saturday. A year ago I would not have thought that was possible!

I won't have a computer with me so I won't be able to post until Sunday night or Monday morning. But if you can find the results, my race number is 8555.

Cecilia

Good luck Celicia! I'll think of you.....my 1/2 is on Sunday!

I ran 5 today, and felt pretty miserable. I didn't have my iPod......ds #2 took my ear phones to school and left me 'ear-less'. Everything sort of hurt, and my pace was a struggle the whole way.....doesn't appear that a PR is in my future!

Time: 60 min
miles: 5.25

Beth

Hey everyone! Sorry about not being here lately. I really thought I had posted last week but I sure can't find the post. Geez!

Lisa, I'll post my hours later tonight. I can't find my sheet with the hours. Like I said, I thought I had posted them last week so no telling what I did with that sheet. Old age...the mind goes.

Hi Everyone,

Thanks for letting me join the team so late.

I've been reading through some of the posts and you guys are amazing :cheer2:

I'm working on starting on walking program and eventually build up to a run. My plan is to do the TOT this year (since I missed signing up for the half).

Here are my totals for the last 2 weeks (slow but at least it is a start)

April 10- 2.25 mile walk/ 37 minutes
April 14- 2.5 mile walk / 40 minutes
April 15 - 5 Elliptical / 74 minutes
April 16 - 1 mile walk / 19 minutes
April 16 - 5 mile Elliptical / 74 minutes
April 17 - 4 mile walk / 67 minutes
April 19 - 6 mile walk / 105 minutes
April 20 - 1.8 mile walk / 38 minutes
April 22 - 2.18 mile walk / 38 minutes
April 22 - 7 miles bike / 46 minutes
April 23 - 3.5 mile walk / 62 minutes

(Sorry, I wasnt sure how you did the totals and such, so just included everything)

Good morning Super Goofs. It is last chance workout day. Yes the day to get those final steps in before a new week begins. Except for Beth and Cecilia, they are in taper.

Beth and Cecilia: Best of luck to you both. I have good speedy thoughts heading your way. Beth, keep the faith, you will do better than you think. The race day pump will carry you through. Cecilia, we all know you are going to rock this one.

DisneyLuv: Welcome, welcome, welcome. Late to the party just means fresh legs!!! I too am going to be at ToT. This is my second but my first 13K. I did the 6.5K last year on my 41st birthday. So consider this your chance to celebrate with me in WDW. We will have your accomplishement to celebrate too. Soo much fun to come. :woohoo: Your mileage report is great. I will put it all as one lump total for this week.

Susie: We love you and miss your smiling face. Blame it on taper. You are doing OKC right? I will be doing the spreadsheet this afternoon, getting everything caught up and such so if your miles are not in by this afternoon, they will be posted at a later date. Hey, it keeps the other teams in suspense.....:rolleyes1

Hey Angie, Joanne and Kristi: Did you all get the Email about the Run for Beer 5K in June?? Now that's a race I can get excited about. Beer, chili and hot wings. Yay. Who's in for that one??? :dance3:

I have a VERY busy weekend ahead. My DD13 has her YMCA gymnastics state competition AND a 14-u field hockey tournament. Thankfully, they are in the same city. My Jetta gets a workout due to her. Thank goodness it's a diesel and I get 50+ MPG otherwise, we'd be in the poor house. :scared1: Anyway, I will pretty much MIA until Monday early morning when I will get caught up with the race reports and all the good news that comes over the weekend. Have a great one Super Goofs and...

GET THAT WORKOUT IN, COME ON, MOVE IT, WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR...that is my best Jillian voice of course. :goodvibes

ughhhh....i had a terrible run this morning! I hate that! I was going to head out for a 4 mile run, and after about a mile, my stomach did not feel so good, so I decided to walk back to the car and head home...I knew I was not going to make it the whole 4 miles, and I felt really awful.

So, here is the damage:

2 miles 25 minutes

I also played ice hockey for 1 hour last night.

when/where is the run for beer? I still need a June race!

It's back in Newmarket on June 22. The beer/wings/chili is at the Stone Church Hall again. I'm game if you are!!

Beer,Wings,Chili!! Sounds good to me.

Because of the Great Bay Half, I realized that I can run faster than I thought. I usually train at about 9:30's. So, I have decided to step up the speed of my runs. I did 4 miles on Wed at a 8:05 pace, and I think that pace is a little too fast because I started to feel some pain on the outside of my left knee. When I do a slightly slower pace I usually have no pain. So I will shoot for 8:30's now.

4/23 4 miles 32:18 (run)
4/24 1 mile 6:00 (trail riding)
4/25 2 miles 22:00 (trail running while geocaching)

Hi

yesterday was a rest day.

Today: 46 minutes for TM run 3.3 miles
45 minutes exercises/strength training

Well, not really feelin' it today, Goofs. Yesterday I had a lousy, shortened run of 1.5 miles--shin again. Maybe it was just residual from the massage--he really worked my legs over. So total of 30 minutes of run & stretch.
Today, so far did 20 minutes fit ball and took the dog for a long walk, about 1 hour. He is currently snoozing, yeah!
I think I'll just XT for next week before Minnie.

Maura
