Hi. I made this cake yesterday for a bbq and it got rave reviews. Thought I'd share. It's really so easy it's embarassing
Use a 9x13 tin(the deep one-about 2-3 inches)
Spread a layer of cool whip, then put a layer of ice cream sandwiches, top that with another layer of cool whip, more ice cream sandwiches-top with another layer of cool whip and then pour a bottle of chocolate fudge Magic Shell over the top. Freeze overnight. It was a huge hit!

I'm going to try this one too. My DS loves Baskin Robbins ice cream cakes. I bet he'll love this one too. Using different flavors is a great idea. I think I'll do one layer with strawberry, & one with vanilla. I may try to make a smaller one though. There's only 3 of us & a 9x13 cake would last forever.
