Hello everyone-

I'm traveling to WDW with my wife and 2 small kids. We got a killer plane ticket deal, but the return flight leaves at 7:00 AM! We're considering 4 nights at Animal Kingdom Lodge then the last night at a hotel near the airport, or even the Hyatt inside MCO. We've confirmed we can take the Magical Express the night before our flight out.

What do you think? We'd save $100 bucks and some serious early morning headaches if we do the Hyatt inside MCO. Has anyone done something similar to account for an early flight?

Thanks in advance!

The Hyatt is a great option and very convenient. We have even taken advantage of their day rates when we have evening flights.

The MCO Hyatt is a great option. I have done it once, other times decided to not give up any Disney time the night before. Just be aware you probably won’t be able to check your luggage and will keep it at the Hyatt. I was told that the airlines would only allow luggage to be checked 4 hours before the flight. It is a nice hotel though and has a swimming pool on the roof which is a fun novelty for kids.

As stated by pp, if you are okay with the daily or nightly rate, the Hyatt is the perfect option as its located INSIDE the airport terminal, it doesn't get anymore convenient than that. HOWEVER, there are also other options, there are airport hotels within a one mile radius with shuttle transportation that can also get you to the airport in 5-10 minutes. IMHO I really like the Embassy Suites airport location, you cant go wrong with the two-room suites and free hot breakfast.

Perfect! And I'd stick with the Hyatt in the terminal, because it's such a novelty, and takes the early morning stress out of getting down to a hotel lobby on time for a scheduled shuttle, even a ten minute one.
