Its our first cruise there too Mary. I've been eyeing the champagne catamaran tour for St Thomas/St John but have no inkling yet for St Maarten. I've read great reviews for Bernards tours though.
We did the Champagne Cat last year and really liked it. The only downside is the "taxi" ride to the other side of StThomas to get to the boat, I think it took about 45 minutes each way.
We did the Champagne Catamaran excursion when we were on the Fantasy this March and really enjoyed it. We also found the taxi ride to be a bit long, especially on the way there because we got stuck in some traffic. We all loved the ride over to St. John, but I was glad I had taken Bonine that morning and insisted that DD take hers (I still have a small stash of the children's version). The ride was quite bumpy, and a few people were feeling quite ill.
This time around we are planning to stay on St. Thomas, and we may sign up for the ziplining excursion if it's offered. This year it was added after we had already booked our excursions. We stopped in San Juan this year, so it'll be fun to go to St. Maarten this time around.
