Super Bowl XL Ads

The amount of ads focused on AI and gambling was uh, pretty bad.

The gambling ads were really out of control. I did see one that was about setting limits and not giving in to compulsive gambling behavior. I wonder if those are like the anti-smoking ads that they make the tobacco companies pay for. Do all these betting aps have to do that? It did air after the game, which is telling (at least that's when I saw it).

Seemed to be an uncomfortable number of butt closeups. Not even sure what they were advertising. As for the rest, all but a couple seemed to be directed only at wealthy people that might deal with some companies that we consumers never even heard of. Also considering the cost of an super bowl add, at what point did candy become wealthy enough to pay that much for an add. It, along with the game itself, fell flat.

Just as side comment... I never heard of Bad Bunny until this whole over-reaction was brought to my attention. No, I cannot speak Spanish, but the show was fascinating and the music was more background music for the physical show itself. I thought it was very interesting and fun.

When the Beatles first went to Japan, they sang their songs in English and they were a sensation. And for the last time Puerto Rico is part of the United States and he is a United States citizen. What's the chance we all grow up a little. Yea, I know... probably not ready yet.

Thanks but there was more than one thing that placed emphasis on what Forrest Gump would have called "But tox". I live in an over 55 apartment building, we had our own, low key, Superbowl Party" and there were a number of times when some of the older women emitted verbal gasps when the camera seemed to be pointing a little lower than necessary. I found it amusing but unnecessary to sell a product.

I just remember the Levi's one because it started with Woody and I thought it was a Toy Story 5 trailer.

I didn't really watch the Super Bowl at all this year because I was busy watching curling, so I didn't even see very many commercials. Out of the ones I did see my favorite was the Jurassic Park/Xfinity commercial. I got a real kick out of that.

Also the PSA blood test recommendation which may, in cases, be a sufficient substitute for the digital exam.
Having just finish the process of Radiation Treatment for Prostate Cancer, I did find that one amusing, and also did get everyone's attention. It appears that I am someone that was also was granted extended lifespan due to the initial digital exam the prompted them to do the PSA test. With that test they can determine the degree of need. If one's PSA is 1.0 to 4.0 nothing else is necessary as that is normal. Mine was 14.5 and Radiation was recommended before it metastasized. My cancer was first noticed when my number was 5.8, once that number shows up they go to biopsy. With that they can determine whether or not the tumor is slow growing or a more aggressive type. I cannot emphasize enough how important it is to get that initial PSA test done.

There are two ways to create the situation where further discussion is required. The PSA test is something that the doctor should request, sometimes even without you knowing it, with a random blood workup. That should be anytime after 50 years old or even younger would go further than nothing at all and might prevent the digital route.

It is no big deal, but I can tell you that even though I had the least evasive procedure to combat Prostate Cancer but it was still no picnic. The earlier it is caught, the better chance of the easier route. I'm happy to say that I am now below average in the PSA test down from 14.5 to .06. Cancer, it gone bye bye at least for now.

Good to hear things are going well for you, that's great!! My doctor does do that, once a year. So far, so good.
