We will be in WDW on Super Bowl Sunday and wondering what to do  ??? With the chance of the  Seahawks  going this year (yes I know, it's a slim chance, but a chance at that) we for sure will not want to miss it. Does anyone have expirience w/ this grand day in WDW??? Where can we watch the game other than our hotel room??? Will there be a super bowl "party"??? Any help is appreciated, the other half is *stressing* :)

Well, with 100 tv screens I'm guessing the ESPN Sports Bar at the Boardwalk just might be showing the game.

Well.....the last few years we've never planned to be out of the area during Super Bowl weekend always believing our beloved EAGLES would make it. Sad to say this year....we can go anywhere. :worried:  :headache:

You are so lucky to be in WDW during the Superbowl... I am lucky enough to have my city invaded by the masses when our lousy team is eliminated before the season even starts. Hence the joys of living 20 mins from Detroit ;)

We will be there also and if the Seahawks win this Sunday please contact me as we have a group forming to have a Super Bowl party!
Remember if the Seahawks win the Super Bowl..it's parade time at the Magic Kingdom on Monday!

If you are going to watch the game at the ESPN Zone...be there EARLY, EARLY. If it is anything like the ESPN Zone here in CA, it will be completely full by mid-morning.

We were there last year for the Pats...we watched the first half of the game at the Outer Rim at the Contemporary and watched the second half in our room. The only bad part was we were there and they decided that time to not do the 'You just won the Super Bowl what are you going to do next?" commercial and the visit to WDW. We were upset we weren't going to be able to see any Patriots players!

Wow. Small world. I'm a lifelong Seahawks fan living here in PA. My DW & I were thinking of a trip to the World In February. I thought, hmmmm, id the 'Hawks win the Super Bowl, they'd be in the Parade. So I think we're heading down & will be there for the Super Bowl. I guarantee the 'Hawks will be in it, so it'll be huge for all us long-suffering 'Hawk fans. If there's anything special going on, let me know on the DIS.

Oops. I posted that last message {Boston1029} with my DWs log-on. I'm the suffering Seahawks fan. She's the suffering wife who gets to watch me flip out every year they stink. And btw, Matt Hasselback is NOT allowed to call the coin flip. While I LOVED what he said 2 years ago against Green Bay in overtime, that didn't go so well.

This will be my second year going to WDW and the Stupid Bowl is on. :crazy2: I avoid ALL Sports Bars and Lounges while it is on, but I did see the half time Janet Jackson exposure.

MY suggestion is enjoy WDW while you are there, don't worry about the game. Tivo the game. :earsboy:
GO STEELERS

I planned our trip for the day after the Super Bowl hoping and praying that my Panthers would be there :cool1: . We'll see after this Sunday. Good luck (but not too much luck) :rotfl2: .
Go Panthers........

Normaly I would agree...BUT THIS IS THE SEAHAWKS WE ARE TALKING ABOUT...as a fan I must say (w/ a tear in my eye) that we are very proud of the 'Hawks and would like to support them if they go to the Super Bowl. It's not every day that they have a chance at the Super Bowl, if you know what I am talking about.

If anyone has a suggestion on how to or where to watch the game/party/ have fantastic time, then let's hear it!!! I am well aware that I can just go to the park and not watch it

NHLFAN - If the Seahawks win this Sunday I'll PM you! Thanks

We were in a similar situation in October when the White Sox won the World Series. When we booked the trip we never gave the dates a thought- we ended up being there for games 3 and 4. DH, a lifelong Sox fan, was crushed, as he had tickets for Game 6 back in Chicago (which merciflly never happened).

ESPN club will be PACKED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :crowded: I watched the World Series in my room on mute while DS2 slept, and DH watched in the bar at POR.

Good luck!

It's just a stupid football game.

Hi, thanks for the input, but do you have a suggestion for viewing the game? It's OK that you don't like football, but it's OK that we want to watch the game too. :sunny:

Unfortunately this Seahawk lovin family will not be there for Superbowl but we get to be there for the NFC Championship Game. There are 9 of us and we are planing to get down to the ESPN Club early early to try and get a seat. Any other Hawk fans going to be there for the game this Sunday?????

Isn't there a sports bar at the Wide World of Sports?
Not that it matters to me, because my Patriots won't be fourpeating....

I know it's hard to form a Party there with a large group due to no "reservations accepted"...We were there for the World Series a couple years ago and it was beyond packed!

Send me a PM, if you can, when you get down there if you see any promotions on Super Bowl parties!

Have fun...go hawks!
