Super Bowl traditions

Trying to come up with traditions that a family friend of mine can start with his son tonight watching the Super Bowl.

They haven't been in touch too much over the last few years (dad is in 60s; son is in 40s) and plan on watching the game tonight.

Trying to come up with traditions that a family friend of mine can start with his son tonight watching the Super Bowl.

They haven't been in touch too much over the last few years (dad is in 60s; son is in 40s) and plan on watching the game tonight.

I think traditions are just kind of created naturally after the fact. I think the best thing for them to do is pick a couple of fun foods or appetizers they both enjoy, then just spend time together watching the game. No pressure. See where it goes from there.

Just my standard tradition of sitting in the other room while DH watches. I pop in every 20 minutes or so to watch for a minute or two. I usually DO watch the halftime show. I can still hear the game on the TV from where I am.
