Super Bowl Sunday / Valentines Day at DVC

We will be staying at BCV over Super Bowl Sunday and Valentines Day. Can anyone tell me if the resorts plan any kind of special festivities for both or either of those days?

Should we be making dinner reservations for Valentines Day or will “walk-up” service be available at the table service restaurants?

We've never been there during those times, but I'm sure that ESPN Club is jammed on Super Bowl Sunday!

With the Dining Plan, I'd definitely make an ADR for Valentine's Day dinner. You might not need it, but why take the chance?

Last year there was a Super Bowl party at Ariel's at the Beach Club. The front part of the former restaurant was set up for kids, with all kinds of activities for them and the remainder had several TVs and comfortable seating set up. It looked kind of neat. They also had beverages and snacks (wings and stuff) available for purchase.

Do they accept the DDE card on Super Bowl Sunday in the lounges and/or the restaurants during this “party”?

They took the DDE card at ESPN a couple a years ago when we saw the game there. We had to line up a 10:30 am to make sure we got a table to watch the game which started at 6:20PM. They have a lot of guests/activities to keep you busy before the game.

ESPN Club will be jammed. We were there one or two weeks before Super Bowl in 2005. It was one of the final games where you see who will be playing in the Super Bowl (you can see I'm not really into football)-- we couldn't even get in ESPN Club-- there was a line outside. They even had a Beer tap outside on the boardwalk since so many people were there.

We stayed at the BCV two years ago and went to Martha’s Vineyard Lounge for a Super Bowl “Party” during the game. The food selection was very limited and they did not accept the DDE card for food or drink...they said it was a “Special” event.

We have tried the ESPN Club during Super Bowl Sunday but the line never moved except for those who just gave up waiting. Won't waste my time this year.
